I really shouldn't be aloud to open RP's but here I am.
Have I been gone all month? YUP! Will I disappear again? Most likely. Sorry in advance! I'm also ignoring some of my RP's right now, and I feel bad? So, if y'all are seeing this, sorry to you too.

The war destroyed the world years ago, And when the dust settled few where left. After what seemed like ages a man rose above the rest and organized the remaining.
They stood together, and made a new world. One free of war and chaos, or so they thought. But the war never truly ended. It still rages with in the shadows. But which side is right? Do the rebels really fight for the right cause? Do the kids forced into this war really know who they serve? Or where they brainwashed?
Everything could be a charade. Every second a chance to prove yourself. Are you a traitor or a surviver? A rebel or a soldier? They'll pick their sides, even if they're against each other. Can love prevail? Or will the rift rip them apart?

Okay so basically, its dystopian. Everyone thinks it a perfect world because they have the "perfect" system for everything. A test that basically decides your whole future, (totally original I know. Can you hear my eye roll?)
Fail the test, get yeeted. No one knows what happens to the kids that fail. They could be dead for all we know.
But wait! We do know! These munchkins are gonna get drafted into a war. A secret war! I wrote a short story on this once, And I really liked it. So now I wanna do a RP based off it, and possibly actually write a book. (We all know that's not gonna happen, but I can try.) Anyway, I just really wanted to see where someone else would take this idea. If you have any questions feel free to ask. But! Just a heads up, this will have a romance aspect. It won't be the main aspect, but it will be there.

this will be rated M for gore, triggering situations, and creative freedom.

Rules-
-I can and will ask to see your writing if I've never RPed with you before/haven't stalked your writing
-try to write more then three lines. I know it can be hard sometimes.
-if I say no, then no
-don't be afraid to challenge the plot. I have no idea what's going on half the time, so throw stuff in there. Make it interesting.
-tell me if you're gonna abandon
-don't spam bump. I tend to go fall off the face of the earth for a few days. (I will try and give you a heads up)
-don't have dry writing. Always make sure the other can go off what you say.

In the heart of an English February, 1912, Lincoln walked down the bustling city street with his hands stuffed in his winter coat pockets. He stared at the ground, each breath creating a hollow of visible heat around his face. He grimaced at each inhale, willing himself to be closer to his workshop. The harder he willed, the faster he walked, until finally he made it to the big wooden doors sealed with a metal padlock.

Lincoln fumbled through his breast pocket in search for the key, muttering curses to the cold. At last, he jammed the key into the hunk of old metal, and the door heaved open with a creaky whine. He closed the door behind him before peeling off his gloves and winter cap. “Blackwell!” He called into the unlit room, “I’m back, Kitty, Kitty!”

Personality- An extroverted introvert, Dorian's motivation is helping people. This motivation is fueled by his "big-brother" nature, seeking to take care of everyone his age and younger after his little brother died. He loves talking to people, but appreciates his time alone with a book or project he's working on. (Personality usually develops as I roleplay with them, I'll add onto this)
Strangths- Dexterous, physical strength and hand-to-hand combat, sensitive to others' emotions
Weeknesses- Sensitive to criticism, weapons that rely on aim (i.e. guns, bow-and-arrows), limited education
Fears- harm to the people close to him, bombs
Likes- creativity, history, physical exercise, whittling knives,
Dislikes- the war, sitting still for too long, open spaces, hail, storms
Hobbies- small wood carvings
Quirks- has a habit of bouncing his knee and rubbing his neck whenever, not just when he's nervous or excited

Family- Lived with his mother and little brother after his father died when he was a year old. His father's absence never bothered him much, mostly because he never remembered him. His brother was a year younger than him, and the two of them grew close over the years. His brother died at 14 when Dorian was 15. He is still dealing with the grief and doesn't talk about his brother much, but after three years he appears to be back to his normal self.

Sexuality- Pan
Personality- Vena is a bit head strong and is more often then not to listen to her emotions. She has a tendency to lash out in anger, or completely fall apart. She can be caring and kind and usually looks to someone for help on decisions. If someone she cares about is in trouble she'll say screw it and go charging in to save the ones her loves.
Strangths- anything up close, knife fighting.
Weeknesses- relies to much on emotion, ignores instinct often.
Fears- hights, death, cramped spaces
Likes- being in the sun, being around her family
Dislikes- dark places, people who bring up the war, or people talk badly about her family amd friends.
Hobbies- running, Vena loves running. She also enjoys making dolls outta small pieces of fabric.
Quirks- has a thing about pulling her own hair, biting the sides of her fingers.
Appearance- very boring features. Looks very standard in her opinion. Long brown hair, dark brown eyes, and very slender. Vena isn't very tall either, where as she stands at about 5'0 and will fight anyone who calls her short. She also looks to be a mix between American and Asian.

(Sorry in advance. My writing is a bit dry at the start.)

Vena opened her eyes, her head spinning. What had happened? The last thing she remembered was being told she failed the test. "Oh gods," she muttered as her eyes adjusted to the dim light filtering I'm from a window.

Vena looked around, eyes landing on a guy across from her, and then traveling along to see more kids that looked about her own age.

Dorian stared down at his hands in his lap while he incessantly tapped his foot. He'd lost track of how long he'd been down here, how long he'd been awake. Several other kids slept around him, so he was accustomed to the silence. Across from him a girl awoke. He glanced up curiously without moving his chin, "H'llo.." he half mumbled, "Did you fail the test too?"

"Oh Gods," Vena muttered again. She had failed the test. Is this what they did to them? Stuff them away and wait for them to die? Was this her fate? Her breathing increased slightly, as she looked to the boy who'd spoken to her, Fear written on her face. "How long have you been awake?" She asked, completely ignoring his question.

"…I don't know," Dorian answered honestly, "There's no way to tell the time in here, but I think it's been a while. No more than a day if I'm guessing right." He reached his arms out to stretch as best as he could in the confined area. "Did you fail the test too?" He repeated the question. He hadn't had the chance to ask anyone else; the rest of them were asleep, and he wanted to know.

"I- yeah. I Did." Vena looked down at her hands. She had always been the top of her class, how did this happen? And just as she formed the thought like clock work she noticed how cramped the space seemed. "Oh Gods," she muttered for the third time. Whatever fear she had seeming to visibly double on her face.

Dorian frowned, "Woah, are you okay? Is it the small room?" he assumed and offered his hand out to her if she needed it, "I think we all failed the test and that's why we'e in here. Nobody explained anything."

Vena tried to slow her breath. Having a panic attack now wouldn't be the best idea. Especially since she didn't know if air was being filtered in the small room or not. "Its fine. I'm fine." Her words a bit rushed. She took the strangers hand, not really knowing why, but in a way it was a comfort, Knowing that she wasn't alone.

Something crackled, earning a jump from a few of the kids that had now woken up. "We regret to inform you that you have failed the test," started a male voice, "but have no fear, you have been given a second chance. A second test." Though the way they said it seemed to say it would be anything but easy. "If you look across from you, that will be your partner for the test. We wish you both luck, and we wish you safety." Another crackle sounded, and just like that the room was silent again. That is untill a door creaked open.

Dorian was among the few who jumped when the door had opened. He looked at the girl across from him with a worried glint in his eye, “I guess we’re partners, hm..?” He swallowed a lump of anxiety in his throat, “But what..kind of test..?” He muttered to himself as he watched the door slowly creak open.

(Just a heads up, I'm totally gonna push both their fears for a while.)

"Oh Gods," Vena breathed again. Another test, what if they failed again? Would they lock them in the box again? "Yeah, partners." She stood, just like the others, and quietly made her way out of the room. Glad to be free from that small box of hell, as she now called it.
Outside the room stood people directing each group to a new room, once inside the door shut behind them.

Dorian groaned as they walked. Another room? He cast another glance to his partner. She didn’t seem to like small places, another box wouldn’t be to good for her, “Are you going to be okay?” He whispered over to her with a time edged with concern. He brushed her hand with the back of his own.

Vena found herself staring at the floor. Racking her brain for what this test might be. Why give a second test? Why would they need partner's? "Yeah." She zoned back into reality, and shook her head. "What about you?" She decided it'd be best to push her fears down and see if her partner would be okay. The brush of his hand barely registering in her mind.

“I will be,” he glanced forward only briefly to make sure he didn’t run into anyone. He looked back to his partner, “I’m just a little nervous about the test. I thought I did well in the last one but..I guess not,” he swallowed.

"So did I." She mumbled as they got to a door. Vena took a deep breath, praying that whatever was on the other side wouldn't be to bad. It was after all a second chance, one she was greatful for. The two where ushered in and the door shut behind. An clicking noise notifying that the door had been locked.

Dorian flinched as the door clicked closed behind them. He had no idea what kind of test they would be subjected to, but he doubted it would be another like he and the others most recently finished. He could only hope it would be easier than the previous, but again, he doubted that.
