welcome to the panic room (small group)

The Asylum is all it was called. A place where people would be taken on, experimented on, and locked up for the rest of their days did they do anything even slightly wrong. Let's zoom in on those people, shall we?

Basically, this is a story about a dystopia where war is the only thing that matters and the nations are constantly trying to one-up each other through whatever means they can. Recently, America has been focusing on human experimentation, trying to make soldiers stronger, faster, smarter, etc. Anyone who breaks a significant law is sent to the Asylum, a place hidden in the mountains made for experimenting on humans for soldiers. There are three roles in this RP, for plot. Scientist, which is the people who are experimenting, long terms, those who have been experimented on for a while, and newbies, or new arrivals to they asylum. I will give two slots to each role, and people may have up to two characters.

Anyways, have fun. We will be focusing mainly on the goings-on of the Asylum, but if we want to expand plot from there we can. No smut, no one liners, no being an ass, and have fun! This roleplay will contain dark and/or mature themes so let me know what your triggers are, please!

Name: Marissa de la Cruz (Little Mary, of the Cross)
Age: 38
Gender/Pronouns: Cis woman, she/her
Orientation: Well it’s not like she’d be interested in you. But she is a lesbian.
Role: Head of Project Asylum
Appearance: A stern, slightly wrinkled face, tired eyes, and a wobbly, thin figure held up by elbow crutches. Marissa has long, straight brown hair held up in a bun, green eyes and mildly tanned skin, with an appearance that says she has zero tolerance for bullshit. She’s short, but she always manages to meet your eyes.
Personality: Marissa has one defining trait, and that is how driven she is. She’ll do anything to get her experiments to do what she wants, but she’s not unkind about it generally, she has a great distaste for senseless cruelty. She has a rewards system in place for experiments because of this. She believes that positive reinforcement is the best option unless given no other option.
Mutations/Powers/Etc?: None, but she can make anyone crumble to dust with a nasty glare.
Background?: Marissa has gone to great lengths to ensure nobody knows even a shred of information about her past.
Other: Marissa has Spina Bifida of the Myelomeningocele variety, thus the crutches.

Name: Project Cassandra (Cassandra of Troy. Prophetess never to be believed.)
Age: 36
Gender/Pronouns: Demigirl, she/they
Orientation: Bisexual
Role: The Original Experiment
Appearance: Pale eyes that look severely clouded over. Tall, a bit too tall, and with joints too long for her emancipated head and torso. Slits where her mouth was supposed to be that can expand, and a jaw with no limit to how far down it can go. Long, white hair, spindly fingers, and slits for a nose like a snake’s. She’s basically walking nightmare fuel. Wears a white hospital gown, dirty from years of presumably never changing it.
Personality: Volatile, cranky, and lonesome, Project Cassandra is a bit of an enigma. All we know is that the seem to only trust Marissa, for whatever reason.
Mutations/Powers/Etc?: Some freaky looking features, but nobody knows exactly what those can do. All we know is that anyone who enters her room besides Marissa is basically dead from the start, nobody has survived them.
Background?: ???
Other: In her previous life, she had a soft spot for children. That’s all that is on her file.

Name: Project Epsilon "Lonnie" (formerly named Ezra Titus, but that was another life)
Age: 28
Gender/Pronouns: cis guy, he/him
Orientation: Bi
Role: Long term experiment
Appearance: Epsilon is about six feet tall, and is white, and rather pale from not seeing the sun in a long time. He has long dark hair that hangs just past his shoulders in ragged strands, and is shot through with white. The white hairs are from stress and the experimentation. He has weirdly silver eyes. Not grey, but a shiny, reflective silver. At night, his eyes will catch any and all light, like mirrors, and its almost inhuman when combined with his strange hair. His hair is often loose, as the staff won't let him have hair ties for fear he will trie to use it to kill either himself or them. Is usually in a dirty white shirt and grey pants, though he is often put in straightjackets. Body is flecked all over with scars, both from experimentation and from his own mental snaps.
Personality: Due to mental experimentation, Lonnie experiences periods of lucidity and periods of insanity, where he loses all control of himself and lashes out at anyone near him, and if there's no one near he will turn that lashing anger and rage on himself, and that's when he gets put into a straightjacket, in order to keep him from trying to hurt himself. His hair hasn't been cut in years because anytime they try to get near him with clippers, he tries to take them and use them. When he's lucid, he's quiet and intelligent, and quite capable, though always worried about losing it again. Also struggles with anxiety, PTSD, and depression.
Mutations/Powers/Etc?: Some changes made for enhanced strength, but most of his changes are mentally. He is telepathic, and a bit smarter than the average person. He can also do complex math in his head. When he lashes out, it tends to be both mentally and physically, and he has driven quite a few staff members (and a few other patients) insane by accident. He cannot fix it, though he has been known to fix other mental problems, during his periods of lucidity. He was also experimented on to make him very good at planning and tactics, and as a result is very good at planning and has an excellent memory.
Background?: Not much is known about Lonnie when he was Ezra Titus, only that he murdered someone and was sent to the Asylum in punishment, and has been here for five years.
