wonka must die (closed, 4/4)

Everyone knows the story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Well, what not everyone knows is that there's more to the story than the pure-hearted Charlie winning the game Wonka had devised for the children to play. The trials were not lost due to the children's greed (though, admittedly, that did play a part) but Wonka's devious plan to destroy any kind of disobedience in children with those five as the test subjects. Violet, Veruca, Mike, and Augustus know that it's only a matter of time before Wonka tries again, and this time he won't be so forgiving.

Basically, this is a darker spin on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and takes place a few years later when the kids who didn't win the contest found out more about Wonka's plan to make everyone into a mindless zombie and destroy life as they know it. Wonka isn't just eccentric; he's insane and more than a little devious. They have to stop him before it's too late.

We will be the four kids who didn't win the contest, and all of them still have scars or other body mutations left over from the competition (ex. Veruca has scars from the squirrels and stuff). They know that if they don't kill Willy Wonka, he will end up succeeding in his plan and taking over the world. And while a bit of craziness can be fun, the chaos that would ensue between the victims of his mind games and the rest of the world would be an end to life as they know it.

1. This is PG-15 AT LEAST.
2. andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)'s rules apply.
3. Swearing/gore/violence is fine, but nothing too sexy please! You can have the characters kiss or make out, but that's the limit.
4. You don't have to be 100% accurate to the original story, since this is sort of a remix, or darker spin-off.
5. Your character can be mean, but don't be rude ooc.

Name: Veruca Salt
Age: 17
Sexuality: lesbian
Appearance: Veruca would be called beautiful, if not for the scars she has after the original trip to the factory. She has long, coffee brown hair that falls in waves to her mid-back and wide, doe-like eyes the color of maple syrup. She has a sprinkling of freckles across her nose and cheeks and rosebud lips. Her skin is fair, and mostly unmarred besides some freckles and, of course, her scars. She has several scratches on the right side of her face that never quite healed, because those squirrels were not any natural kind of animal, and neither were their scratches. She also has some scratches on her legs and arms as well. Of course, her constant scowling and icy demeanor also probably doesn’t make her any more easy to be around. Veruca is thin, as she is a ballerina, and average height at 5’ 4”. She still wears nice clothes and dresses up no matter the occasion, though she doesn’t have the sheer amount of clothes or even the designer brands she used to, but she pretends to be the same anyway.
Scars left from the competition (mental and physical): As well as her literal scars from the squirrels, she is afraid of squirrels as well. Even though logically those squirrels were not any natural animals, Veruca is still terrified of them.
Personality: Veruca is still as haughty and cold as ever, but less demanding and greedy. She is not a nice person and does not pretend to be a nice person. However, her unfriendly attitude and general rude manner hides a keen wit and determination. She has a biting and sarcastic sense of humor, and still acts like she has all of the money and friends in the world, despite having neither of those things. She likes to take charge and boss people around, especially people who she doesn’t like (and she definitely didn’t like any of the other kids with golden tickets). But while she’s cold and stubborn, she also knows that she isn’t the only person in the world who matters. Veruca will—reluctantly—help other people if need be. Her off putting personality is mostly protection for her vulnerabilities—she’s afraid that she’s not good enough and doesn’t always hate people as much as she pretends to.
Strengths: Wit, loyalty, determination, some self defense, dancing skills (she does ballet), and acting skills.
Weaknesses: Being stubborn, putting up walls around herself, doesn’t know a lot about fighting (like martial arts or anything), bad at working with others.
What they did after the competition/brief background: After the competition, her parents began to be more strict with her. Veruca’s father was brainwashed by the Oompa Loompas and he never let her out of his sight. Of course, since he was now more or less a puppet to Willy Wonka, he couldn’t remember a lot of things about his job or anything requiring specific knowledge, so he was fired. This left Veruca’s family in a tailspin, because they were rich and used to living in luxury. With every year, her father became more and more crazy, eventually driving himself mad. Veruca’s mother was very upset, and fell into a depression. Her mother was still used to luxury, and began using up their money in maintaining her lifestyle. Eventually, as their funds dwindled, Veruca realized she had to get a job. She started working at sixteen, and did everything she could to keep herself and her mom going. She felt hopeless, and was incredibly furious with Willy Wonka. Of course, every time she had said that he tried to murder her, the media only heard a spoiled child. One day, Veruca was so livid that she decided to hurt Willy Wonka to get revenge. Naturally, this ill-conceived idea led nowhere, but she managed to learn something about Mr.Wonka before she tried to enact her revenge: the whispers of his plot. She then searched far and wide to figure out exactly what he was trying to do, bringing back some repressed memories and new information as well. Then she knew what she had to do: call the other three. As much as she hated them, they were the only others who knew much about the factory and what awaited them if they tried to fix everything.

(I'll probably put up Violet within the next 8 hours. If I forget, I'll be pretty busy these next few weeks so when I do reply/put Violet up, the sheet might be hastily filled out and replies might be shorter than what I'd normally like.)

- likes to wear loose clothing that still fits well but allows for flexibility

Personality:
- much competitive
- active participator in multiple sports at her school and an avid practiser of martial arts

- her competitive side hides her other observant and more silent side

Strengths:
- is quite observant but doesn't share her observations unless she sees fit

Weaknesses:
- as she is known mostly for her competetivity, it has become the only thing people see about her and they're not wrong, she immediately feels as if she has to win if someone, for example says they are better at Mario cart than her.

What they did after the competition/brief background:
- forced her mom to move out to the far country side so she could never see blueberries again

Scars left from the competition (mental and physical): Eating disorder as well as scars from surgery he had after losing all the weight he had.
Personality: Quite angry some of the time.
Strengths: Physical strength
Weaknesses: Doesn't think he's good enough.
What they did after the competition/brief background: He suffered through mental health and trying to hide his anger against what happened.

Veruca bit her lip nervously as she waited for the others to arrive. She’d gotten all of their numbers from some serious snooping around and by some miracle they’d all agreed to meet her at a slightly run-down coffeeshop. She’d been more friendly than usual on the phone in an attempt to get them here, which wasn’t saying much, as her version of “more friendly than normal” was barely even cordial. At any rate, it had somehow worked.

Naturally, Veruca was the first there. Professionalism was important, so she had arrived ten minutes early and was anxiously awaiting the others. It had been at least seven or eight minutes since she’d gotten to the place, and the table she’d procured was the cleanest in the shop. The smell of coffee and vanilla lingered in the air, a nice perfume, in Veruca’s opinion. Tinny, generically soft pop music hummed from the speakers somewhere on the walls as she drummed her perfectly manicured nails on the table. She usually didn’t bother, but hopefully the others wouldn’t know about her current situation, and even if they did, she wanted to appear put together.

She crossed her legs and uncrossed them anxiously, then fingered her pearl necklace, a heirloom she couldn’t bear to sell. When would they arrive? They couldn’t all show up late. Of course, it technically wasn’t 2:00pm, their meeting time, yet. But still. Veruca fussed with the hem of her lavender minidress, glancing up as the bell on the door chimed merrily, announcing a newcomer. She tried to look composed. Was it one of the others?

Violet was the second to arrive, after all, her competitive streak was still alive and kicking, though regretfully she had arrived later than she'd hoped to. She'd spent a little too much time on her makeup, and thus was running a bit late. As she entered the door, phone in hand, she checked the time. 13.58, her phone informed her. Violet looked back up, searching the small little shop for any of the others. She wasn't too thrilled about their get-together, but if all went according to plan, nothing would go too terribly. After all, they were uniting against a single cause, right?

It wasn't too long before Violet's gaze found Veruca, sitting at a table nearby, drumming her nails on the top. "Veruca," she said softly, walking over to the table and taking a seat.

Veruca’s eyes snapped up to meet Violet’s. “Violet,” she replied, her voice a bit louder than the other girl’s. “Hello.” She sat stiffly, thinking about her posture (which was perfect, as usual). Violet looked nice, like she’d made an effort. That was good. Veruca hoped that the others would make more of an effort in their appearances than the last time they’d met. She didn’t have much to say without the others here, and she wouldn’t make small talk unless the other girl started it.
