"You don't understand, its simple really-" (OXO, very dark, CLOSED)

Az closes his eyes, “No. I need space.”

"Fine." Trickster sat back down, having no intention to give the other space.

Az sighs and walks away, going down the street.

Trickster waits a moment before sneakily following Carmen

Az walks to a small bookstore, going inside.

Trickster stand outside the bookstore, looking in from a corner window.

Az flops into a chair, turning his tablet on.

Trickster moves to try to see the screen.

Az pulls the stylus out and starts drawing, quiet.

Trickster sighs, muttering to himself

Az just draws, huming to himself.

Trickster huffs and gives up. Tyler looks around, confused and lost, he goes into the bookstore trying to figure out why he is there.

Az looks up, scowling, “Again?” He snaps, standing.

Tyler flinches, taking a step back. "s-sorry C-carmen"

His gaze softens, “Sorry, not you. . . Trick. He keeps following me.” He sighs, hugging the other.

“I’m sorry, Ty. . .”

Tyler nods slowly, still shaken from Carmen snapping at him. "I-I'm sorry…."

Az sighs, kissing his forehead, “You didn’t do anything.”

Tyler nods slowly, "T-trick is m-mad…why?"

Az sighs, “We just had a little spat, nothing to worry about.” His arms tighten protectively around Tyler.

"o-oh… so its all ok?…" Tyler hugs Carmen back tightly.

Az nods, “Yes, it’s fine.” He kisses his cheek, smiling at him.

Tyler smiles back softly, "I'm sorry I can't control him…"

“It’s fine, nothing to be sorry about. I care for both of you.” Az murmurs. And fuck, he wasn’t even lying. It was why he kept putting Hawke off. He wanted to find a reason to not put Tyler/Trick behind bars.

Tyler smiled and blushed slightly, he was glad there was someone that had kept Trick from killing anyone in a while, and he hoped it would stay that way.

Az kisses his cheek, smiling softly and pulls away slightly, “Do you read?”

"I um… well… I can some…" He muttered

He frowns, “Like, you don’t know how or don’t care for it?” He tilts his head slightly.

"I… I grew up alone… no one taught me" he looked at the ground, ashamed. "I- I can read the menu at work"

Az hums, “Come, I’ll get you a book, and. . . I can help you.” He smiles, moving to the other’s side and looping his arm around Ty’s shoulders.

Tyler smiled softly and leaned against Carmen. "ok"
