She sighed, "Such a shame, really. Earth could be such a prosperous and wonderful place if it wasn't threatening war all the time. I don't understand humans, strange creatures. Although I've heard their food is amazing."
You're Gonna Carry That Weight
"Oh, and they like this," he gestured vaguely to his face. "The skin tone, I mean. I can't figure out their hierarchy system but it's based off of looks and wealth. I didn't notice it until my darker skinned friend pointed it out. Earth's got a really strange culture. Although to be fair, their entertainment is unmatched."
She hummed in agreement, "True. I saw an Earth movie a while back while I was visiting another planet. I can't remember what it was called but it was set in space and there was this guy called Darth Vader and they had these things called light sabers. It was pretty cool to be honest."
"Oh I've seen that one!" He tried to remember the details but they insisted on escaping him. "Something about rudimentary space travel, right? That's an ancient one."
"Yeah, something like that," She sighed, "Shame, it was a pretty good movie. I think there was multiple in the series but I only saw one or two. I wish I could remember what it was."
He nodded, his eyes flicking to focus on the waitress, who had returned with their drinks. She placed their beverages on the table and beamed at them. "What can I get you to eat? May I interest you in our special?"
Astra took a sip of her drink, smiling at the waitress as she nodded, "Sure! What is your special?" Whatever it was she'd probably order it anyway.
"Louaza is a type of fish native to this region," the waitress explained, already writing it down. "It's prepared by pan seering it lightly and then seasoning it with a variety of spices."
"Oo that sounds lovely! I'll have that, thank you," She leaned back in her chair, "Is it a popular option around here? It sounds delicious."
