Arthur hummed as he walked through the trees, heading up to his favourite spot just outside of town.

Alfie slipped through the forest quietly, keeping his eyes on his true love. Where was he going? Why was it so far away?

Arthur kept it up, eventually come up on a ridgeline high above the surrounding area, giving him a good view of the ocean, and the town. It also had a good view of the stars, thus why he flpped back to stargaze.

Aldie hid behind a tree, smiling as he watched him. He was pretty. He hoped the stranger thought of him the same.

Arthur hummed as he traced the patterns in the stars with his eyes, he loved it out here, quiet and peaceful.

Now all alfie needes to do was find a ring. That was human custom right? He'd seen men present a ring to their lovers. He should do the same.

Arthur hummed softly to himself as he watched the stars, unaware of the fact thathe was technically no longer single.

Alfie wasnt sure if he should leave and go find a ring roght then and there. But he worried that if he came back, his beautiful partner would no longer be there. He argued with himself

Arthur relaxed, stretched out on the side fo the hill, listening to the night sounds.

Alfie took a few steps back. He let out a loud "eek!" as he stepd on a branch with a loud snap

Arthur whipped around, rolling over and carefully getting to his feet, his eyes scanning the trees behind him.

Alfie quickly jumped behind a tree, quivering. He didn't want to get caught before he had a ring with him. What was he supposed to do?

Arthur tugged his hood up to hide his hair so he was less noticeable, as he scanned the trees, "Someone out there?" he called.

"U-um n-no?" Alfie squealed then covered his mouth. Why would he do that?

Arthur heard it, and he narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "Why'd you follow me? There's no path up here so you had to have followed me"

Alfie peeked out behind the tree. He looked at hik then stared at his feet. "Uh ummm."

Arthur tilted his head, stepping forward until he recognized the guy from earlier. "You're the guy from the restaurant!" he said in realization.

Alfoe hugged his coat to his chest. It made him feel safe knowing he had it in his hands. He wasn't sure what he would do if he ever lost it.

Arthur noticed that action, but made no comment, "What in the world did you follow me up here for?" he asked.

Alfie nibbled on his lip. "Well we're, what do you himans say? Married? Yes thats it." Ge looked at him brightly

Arthur looked at him in pure confusion. "O-Okay… what???" he said, "What do you mean we're married? And why did you say that like you aren't human?????"

Alfie held up his coat. "You have it back. So now im yours. S-so I follwoed you. I w-was going to t-try human customs w-with a r-ring, but, ummm."

Arthur blinked, still confused, "I-I think you need to start from the beginning…." he said, stunned.

Alfie sighed. He walked forward and grabbed his new partner's hand and led him down to the beach. "T-try not to f-freak out." He stripped out of his clothes only to put his "coat" on. It was identical to a seal. He looked up at the man with a smile. " You habe my coat to me. So I am now yours."

Arthur stared in shock, sitting down on the edge of the sand. "So… wh-what exactly are you???" he asked.

Alfie took off his coat and pulled his clothes back on. Wanting affection, he laid down with his head in the man's lap. "Your people know me as a selkie."

Arthur looked down at him, more stunned than anything. "Selkie huh?" he asked, "So…. just… handing a selkie their coat back, is marrage???"

Alfie nodded. "I-in h-human sense, yes." He smiled up at him, clutching on to his leg.

Arthur blushed, finding this just a tad awkward, but figuring he'd just take it slow.

Alfie nuzzled hus cheek against his thigh. "W-whats your n-name?" He asked.
