Alfoe didn't stop under he reached the fish. He grabbed one and held it to his nose, sniffing

Arthur gently placed the fish back and pulled him away, "We have to buy the fish, and I only have so much money."

"But I want to eat it." Alfie pouted at him

"We have to pay for it first" said Arthur firmly.

Alfie made to grab another fish. The smell was making his mouth water

Arthur grabbed his hand, "You can't just eat the fish" he told the other. "You have to exchange money for it."

"Then horrifying." Alfie whined. "I want fish." He demanded

Arthur sighed, taking his hand and heading elsewhere, stopping at a storage place to grab the fishing tackle his older brother made him buy a couple summers ago, and heading for the beach.

Alfie jumped on his back again. "Why are we going away from the fish?" He yelled in his ear

Arthur winced, "I don't trust you not to touch them while I pay, so we're going to catch them ourselves."

"Okay." Alfie pit his chin on Arthur's shoulder.

Arthur stopped when they got to the seaside, a little winded from carrying Alfie.

Alife jumped down and kicked off his shoes he splashed some water with his feet

Arthur watched him with a sighed, moving to the point to try and catch something.

Alfie looked around to see if anyone was around. He really wanted to go for a swim in his coat

Arthur kept an eye on the other as he cast his line.

Alfoe stripped out of hos clothes and pulled his coat on before jumping into the water

Arthur heard a splash, and looked up to see the other swimming.

Alfie swam on top of the water only for a couple minutes before disappearing under the water

Arthur watched him with fascination.

Alfie did his seal stuff….whatever seals do. He poped iut of the water with a fish in mouth. He grinned and extended it out to arthur, an offering fir his mate

Arthur smiled when the other came back with a fish, laying it beside him so he could make seafood later.

Alfie looked at the fish now on the ground. "Why you no eat it?" He asked with a tilt of his head

"I can't eat raw fish babe" he said softly.

"Why not? I do." Alfie said. "Do you not like it? O can get another one for you." He turned to go back into the ocean

Arthur shook his head, "Alfie, It's not that I don't like it, It's that I can't eat fish the way you do. I have to cook it first or I'll get sick."

Alfie pouted but sighed. "Fine." He got back in the water, his head just peaking out

Arthur chuckled at the other. "You're cute Y'know that?"

Alfie giggled and blushed. He hid underwater. Then got distracted by another fish and swam after it.
