((Yup! Just whip up a person and I'll get mine up and then we'll start!!))
Name: Elias Hewit
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Looks:
Personality / History:
Elias is an introverted boy by nature, and does not like to- he says, and I quote, "fratenise" with other people who were not close to him. He is someone who is extremely driven to do what he needs, but when he is done with the deeds, he kind of shuts down and needs some alone time. People who meet Elias for the first time would probably assume that he is someone who is always cold, and more often than not, create suspicions that perhaps he was a spawn of the devil due to his ash-coloured hair. No one knew that he was bisexual, and he aimed to keep it that way for as long as possible, knowing that it would not help with his image as a devil's spawn. It was precisely because of these accusations, which turned out not be that he stopped interacting as much with people, and just wanted to get his work done. However, upon closer interaction with Elias, one would find him to be an absolute gentleman, and a darling to talk to.
They weren't wrong about the fact of him being a devil-spawn; he wasn't entirely human, and this was correlated with his parentage. His great grandfather sealed a deal with the Fox spirit that was within the depths of the Forbidden Forest. The deal was to exchange four generations of souls, for an increase in wealth, prosperity and peace during the civil wars that were blowing up within the nation. Elias was the second generation after his father, and this turned out to be a great impact to him especially during the 17th century. He didn't particularly hate his ancestry, but instead only found it selfish, and subsequently, Elias learnt to deal with it in as healthy a way as possible.
Likes and dislikes:
He enjoys working in the kitchen the most - which, in the olden days, was an extremely tenuous task due to the amount of labour he has to put in. Furthermore, Elias loves to read, and knows that it is integral to becoming more knowledgeable. He sometimes plays musical instruments too, and as much as possible, does it privately for he knew it was an emasculating activity that would be frowned upon.
He dislikes meaningless tasks, activities, and unjustified situations. He also heavily frowns upon bullies and hates, weirdly enough, eating potatoes. Maybe it was a fox thing- till this day, he could not figure it out.
Abilities:
[ minor ] he is normal in the day time, but when night falls, his sense of hearing increases by a million times, and his pupils turn into semi-slits. he is also able to run at an incredible speed and dexterity, but is unable to turn into an actual fox; and instead, only possesses these abilities.
(Oooh I love him too!)
((I love him! Okay, I swear I'm almost done with Maria, and then we'll start))
“Lighten up! You’re such an addle-plot.”

DOB: April 13th
Star Sign: Aries
“What’s the point of sitting around doing nothing?”
Looks:

Dress style: Traditional puritan attire, bonnet, black dress and all.
Personality: Maria is carefree and loves to have fun. She wants to do whatever she wants, not what other people think is best for her. She gets into trouble easily due to her personality but isn’t very good at hiding her bad actions. Maria doesn’t really care for religion, as well.
“Bible this, sin that…. What’s the point?”
Likes: freetime, not working, wild animals, messing around, and getting dirty.
Dislikes: rude people, racists, homophobes, strict people, and following rules.
Hobbies: sneaking off and running around in the woods.
Powers: Maria can make things grow faster. She tends to use it on plants, but it can also work on humans and animals.
“Okay, yeah, I’m leaving.”
Other: Maria loves to sing, though it’s mostly looked down upon in her puritan community.
Author’s note: Let’s hope she doesn’t get accused XD
“Let’s meet at the oak tree, the big one in the center of the forest. See you there!”
(Maria ruined the introverted holy trinity)
((She truly did. I have this feeling that she might be the outlier here XD))
((Want me to put up the starter now?))
(Sure)
Maria fiddled with the hem of her black dress, huffing slightly. She was sitting in the hard wooden pew of the puritan church in the town, barely listening to the sermon. Maria glanced up, seeing people begin to stand. "Finally…" she muttered, jumping to her feet and bolting out the door. The hem of her dress was lifted up high and she was running as fast as she could. Maria knew this wasn't proper but didn't care. She just wanted to get out of that little, stuffy church with all the judging eyes. Soon enough, Maria running between trees, then she was deep in the forest. She paused, her breath heavy. Maria glanced around, making sure no one was watching, then gently trailed her hand across a sapling, the little tree growing to meet her hands. She smiled at it, knowing that if anyone caught her she could be hung. Maria didn't care.
Elias had just completed his duty in the church's kitchen, cooking a meal meant for the church's elders and everyone who was supposedly, holy in the House of God. Sighing, he felt like he did not belong there, and even though he was often looked down upon or was given the side eye, they still made him go to church and basically banished him to stay in the kitchen. He was also doing that for his Pa and Ma, given that their family was shunned by the holy community. Elias' family was still blessed by the Fox spirit though, and could still trade with those outside of their town, owning acres of land far beyond what a regular townsman would own.
The moment he finished the last meal, Elias walked out and towards the nearby forest, always thinking that he could connect most with his inner self then. He ignored the looks he had gotten from the Elders, even though it admittedly made him feel self-conscious all over again. He entered the shaded area, noticing that there was someone there already. He could feel it buzzing in his skin, his nerves tingling. Curbing his Fox side, Elias ventured deeper, following the soft footprints made by the person on the wet soil. He threaded softly, not wanting to seem too much like a creep, but not wanting to lose the person as well. He knew that there were only so many reasons one would leave the church and head straight for the forest after service.
As he approached the end of the trail, Elias camouflaged himself amongst the trees, sharpening his purview on what seemed like a girl. He watched on as she glanced around, all the while feeling so much empathy for her. Not everyone could escape and have actual alone time in their small town. Not by any means. The boy held in a small gasp as he saw what she did afterwards as the tree seemed to communicate with her by reaching out towards her. He was not the only one who was weird after all!
Dove was perched on a branch in the forest, hoping she wouldn’t be found. She preened her feathers with her beak, keeping one eye out for any of the bullies who skipped church to nag at her.
She didn’t particularly worry about going home. Her grandmother knew where she was, and besides, it’s not like they were going to church like everyone else. They would just be shoved back out again.
Her tiny, white form was easy to see amongst the greenery. Her feathers glowed in the dappled sunlight, her eyes a drop of pinkish red.
The sound of children’s laughter came to her. Her head jerked toward the sound. Startled, her wings seemed to unfold of their own accord, and she burst from the branch, flying away from the sound.
She landed on a sturdier branch, closer to the ground. A few yards away, she could see a girl with her back to her, so she couldn’t see what she was doing. She could sense something else nearby… something that felt similar to a fox.
Warily, Dove flapped her wings, then shot up to a higher branch. Curious, she took to watching the girl.

Ren was in his cat form, curled up in the small space under the roots of a tree, where he had been sleeping for the past few hours. His ears pricked up as he heard footsteps, followed by the fluttering of tiny wings. Ren stood up and stretched, before jumping to a branch above him, where he saw a dove perched on the branch above him, watching a girl walk through the forest.
Jumping down from the branch, Ren quietly trailed behind the girl, sunlight dappling his orange fur.
Maria was completely unaware of all of the people surrounding her, until she glanced behind her and spotted the cat. Of course, she was completely clueless and thought it was a normal cat. "Hello, little one," she smiled softly, hiking up her dress to her calves and crouching down. She gently held out a hand for the cat, careful not to accidentally use her powers on it. Maria smiled at the cat softly, trying to get it to come here, but knowing that cats were generally indifferent to humans. "I do need a familiar…" she whispered softly to it, still holding out her hand.

Ren approached the girl, unaware that she had powers as well. He gently nudged her hand, sitting down as he did so. Ren purred softly, his mismatched eyes shining in the sunlight.
Dove watched them, a little surprised the cat hadn’t tried to catch her, but at the same time, content to be a spectator. Now that the girl had turned and crouched next to the cat, Dove could see the tree sapling that she didn’t remember being there before. She started preening her feathers again, wondering what the girl had been doing.
The sound of leaves rustling increased as the time went by, and from Elias' position, he was unable to tell who or what was there. If he wanted to know, he would have to compromise his position and the boy did not want to. It was bad enough that people already disliked his family, he did not need more enemies in his sacred and secret place.
He watched keenly as a cat approached the girl, and his eyes widened as he could feel the magic emanating from the cat. There are actual shape shifters around here? he thought to himself, as he pressed both his lips together to observe Then, at the corner of his eye, he noticed a white dove preening its feathers, all too gracefully for a regular bird. Could it be? His squinted upwards and his fox's eyes allowed him to confirm that the four of them there, were all the devil's spawn.
"Aw, hello little one," Maria smiled, gently petting the cat's head and back. She stood, looking down at him. "How did you find me all the way out here, silly?" she smiled softly. Maria turned back to the sapling and laid a hand on it, letting it shoot through with her magic. The plant aged years before her eyes, growing to its full size and then some. Maria smiled at it, removing her hand. "Perfect," she smiled, sitting down at its base. "Now, we have a little shade in this spot," she smiled at the cat, the area now a bit darker from the tree.

Ren's eyes widened, but he let out a soft 'mew' before curling up next to the girl. His heart was racing, but the cat appeared calm on the outside. She's like me? How have I never known? Ren's tail flicked lazily, and his eyes closed.
Maria laughed softly, petting Ren gently on the back and head. "You're such a cute little kitty," she grinned down at him. Maria leaned back against the tree, looking up at the sky. Her head nodded a bit as she lazily drifted off to sleep under the tree she had just grown.
(The way I’m imagining the scene makes me think it could be an image for a lofi hip hop video)
If doves could make facial expressions, her face would’ve widened in surprise. She stopped preening and watched as the tree grew to its full height, now knowing that this girl must be someone like her. Does that mean…? She stared at the cat, remembering how it didn’t seem interested in having her as a snack.
She ruffled her wings, spread them out, then flew to the newly grown tree, keen on getting closer.

(You're so right)
Ren opened one eye as he heard the ruffling of feathers. He spotted the dove from before, sitting on a branch above where he lay. Why hasn't that dove flown away? In his experience, birds were skittish creatures, usually flying away as soon as he'd set his eyes on them. Unless… it's like I am, too?
Maria stirred slightly in her sleep against the tree, a nightmare coming on. She whimpered softly, images of fires and nooses dancing through her head. She was losing control of her own powers while she was asleep. Her hair grew and greyed, wrinkles forming and then deepening on her face. The grass around her and the tree itself grew rapidly as well, the tree now almost growing around Maria. Luckily, the cat was just out of her reach now, and was spared the haywire magic. But if she wasn’t woken from her nightmares soon, Maria would surely die.

Ren jumped back, watching in awe and terror as the grass and trees grew. He wasn't willing to return to his human form, but he tried to wake the girl anyway, pawing frantically at her aging face. What the- what's happening?
(( I'll reply in the morning, sorry! ))
((All good!))
Dove chirped in surprise. As if she didn’t have enough proof that the girl was a witch.
She hopped and fumbled on her branch as it extended around the girl, unsure of what to do. She wanted to do something, but she was an utter coward and didn’t want to reveal herself. Finally, she escaped from her branch and impulsively landed on the ground, near the cat. Bobbing her pearly head, she glanced urgently at the cat, acting on her hunch.
(Umm, do you guys wanna continue or nah?)
