Does anyone have recommendations for designing calendar systems for planets?

Assuming in your universe that your planet has a star to revolve around, you can probably go by the distance from your planet to its star. The farther away, the longer the full rotation/year. Days would probably be based on the tilt of your planet’s axis. Hope this helps!

Ooh yes, That does help! Thank you.

I'm just wanna slide in here to drop this down: https://donjon.bin.sh/fantasy/calendar/#

It's a custom calendar maker and it really helped me make calendars for my stories, so I hope it helps anyone who needs it!

Oh my word thank you!!!!

Could you explain how to manage it please? It looks a bit complicated.

No problem! If you give me an hour or so, I can drum up a whole tutorial with my epic MS Paint skills

This is what I am doing. You need to spend time reading up on planetary sciences but its worth it to understand the concept of time. I highly suggest going to the local library and looking for this topic. Good luck!
