No, Grace, the stuff with Conner is actually really good material! There's tons of stuff there you can work with. She can have nightmares, not trust herself with a gun, etc. All that affects the main story and the group. Even if she still doesn't want to talk about it to the others, that's totally realistic. And you're not pushy if you make stuff happen. That's the beauty of a roleplay. Everyone has different ideas, and (as long as we work together and make sure it all makes sense) you can surprise everyone else by having a new idea come in. Everyone has something to offer, it's just tons more fun when we all work together with our ideas.
I know how awkward it can be to be a new roleplayer. But if you need help with ideas or something for your character to do, you can just ask, "Hey, I don't know what to do right now, what would be good for my character to do?" And we can say "hey, what if they were such-and-such?" There's a place for everyone, even if you're learning.
I'll keep the stuff about Conner in there then, she's definitely not going to use a gun again if she can help it tho and nightmares is giving me a good idea :3… I really like roleplaying but I'm not the type of person to ask others what to have my character(s) do, I'm trying to be more open and ask for help but it might take me awhile to change how I think and work right now
