Becca and Benjamin // One-On-One // CLOSED

Becca Morgan and Benjamin Christ have been neighbours for all their 17 years of being on earth. They'd never really talked to each other though: just the occassional wave through a window or from the yard, or a smile in the corridor. That is, until Becca's dad and older brother suddenly die in a car crash. Becca and Benjamin grow closer together as they bond and as Benjamin comforts Becca. Maybe, just maybe, they'll fall in love.

Background: Becca's life was pretty normal. Normal neighbours, normal friends, normal school. And then her brother and father died in a freak car accident. Becca almost didn't want to show up at the funeral, she was so upset. But she did, and almost broke down in front of everyone. She was always closer to her brother and father than to her mother. She fights a lot with her mother now that it's only them

Becca took a deep breath before running down the stairs. She managed to get out the door without her mother seeing her, meaning no fighting.

Becca saw Benjamin out of the corner of her eye and turned to wave.

Becca ran to catch up to him. "Hey Ben."

Becca shrugged.

Becca thought about it a minute. "Sure."

"How's your mum?" Becca asked, trying to start a conversation.

"Still fighting."

"Thanks Ben."

"No, not really," Becca replied. "I just really tried to get out the house without a fight."

"Um….. Yeah. Sure. Sounds good."

Becca walked out her door, yelling: "Shut up! Just leave me alone!" before slamming the door.
