Blaine walked into the Haunted House and yawned. She hadn't fallen asleep until well after midnight last night; she had stayed up replaying her date in her mind.
Oh. Almost everyone was already there. She checked the time on her phone. Crap. She was late. And there was some random guy there, too…
"Uh, hey guys. Who's this?" she asked, gesturing to him.
"I think it does." He sat back and squinted. "How does it look?"
Ender glanced up at Blaine. 'Oh that's my brother! Jesse!"
Nessa beamed, "I got here on time would you believe that Blaine, that's like, we need to write it down on something"
"I think it does." He sat back and squinted. "How does it look?"
“Nice! How’d you get the shadows painted on so perfectly? I’ve always had to use lights, too.”

"Jesse. Okay, nice to meet you," Blaine greeted him, nodding once. She turned to Nessa and rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Let's put one of those 'No Accidents for X amount of days' signs up, but change it to 'Everyone Was on Time for X amount of days.'"
Jesse smiled. "I guess I can just picture them in my head. It's easy for me!"
Nessa grinned, "But someone wasn't on time today."

Blaine glared. "Okay, yeah. For once in my life, I wasn't on time. Has everyone started set-up?" she asked, easily changing the subject.
Jesse smiled. "I guess I can just picture them in my head. It's easy for me!"
“Lucky,” Jane grinned. “I’m usually assigned painting for the sole reason that I can draw letters straight without preset lines.” She stood up and brushed off her jeans. “Wish I had your talent.”

"Naw. It just takes practice." Jesse shrugged. Yes get the attention off me…
Nessa shrugged, "Jane and British dude are painting tomb stones and flirting, Venus and Ender are sitting by the paint Flirting, You just walked in and I'm standing here telling you all of this."

"Well, at least Jane and Jesse are doing something as well as flirting. Why don't you go set up the water table?" Blaine suggested. "I'm going to go try and get Vender to do some actual work. Also, where the heck is Brendon?"
"What? I thought he was coming with you?"
"Naw. It just takes practice." Jesse shrugged. Yes get the attention off me…
“I’ve been doing this for four years. You have talent, trust me,” Jane smiled.

Jesse blushed. "Eh. Maybe."

"Ooo-kay… Anyway, why don't you and Venus make sure the trail is cleaned," Blaine said.
"Sure thing." He stood up. "Come along girlfriend."
Nessa nodded and went to the front, the front desk table was scattered with documents and flyers. Nessa frowned , that wasn't very Jane like. She went to the water area and set out the waters and the sign before returning to the group.

Jesse blushed. "Eh. Maybe."

“Not maybe,” Jane said ruefully. “You do.”
"Do we have to finish these before a certain time?"
“Today, five o’clock,” Jane said, noticing the change in subject but deciding to ignore it.
"That long? I thought this was a morning thing?"
“It is, but you asked for the deadline, so I told you,” Jane said. “It won’t actually take that long.”
"So you're having me on?"
