Jane stood up and wiped her hands on her apron that extended over her knees. “I dunno bout any of you guys, but I’m starving,” she said overdramatically. “It’s-“ she checked her watch “-noon, and I’ve been here since six AM, and I want takeout. Anyone with me?”

Jesse raised his hand. "I'll go."

“Alrighty,” Jane nodded, untying her apron and throwing it onto a hook they’d put on the wall for the specific purpose of holding aprons. She pulled her keys out of her pocket, waved them in the air for a second, and then added, “Lettuce go.”

"Time to Beet traffic eh?"

“Oh, the puns!” Jane exclaimed, waltzing out of the House and hoping that Jesse would just follow her. “Yes, we need to curry.” She paused before saying, “Okay, I admit, that one was terrible.”
