Venus looked around, hoping someone else could explain to Nessa what happened.

Jesse glanced at his hand. "Oh shoot I do have blood on my hand. I punched Hannah in the face cus she was calling Venus names and hitting on my bro."

Venus looked at the ground and rubbed her arm. It was like the names stuck to her, and now she had no choice but to rub them in.

“What Jesse said,” Jane agreed. “I would’ve done it… but I’m a freaking coward…. I’m sorry, Venus.”

"It's fine. We should get to work," Venus put in.

Jane nodded. “Okay. I should probably go check to see if we can even afford a lawyer.” She rushed off to her little desk cubby thing, nonchalantly moving to hide her face.

"I can run to the store for locks," Venus offered. (ENDER GO WITH HER)

"I'll come with you." Ender volunteered.
"I'll go with Jane." Jesse stated.

Nessa blinked, "I guess I'll clean this mess up then, aww man Jesse you got your drink in the floor." Nessa started back into the storage space and emerged with a cloth and a few cleaning agents, "Oh man blood got on the rug, whelp I'll need some cold water."

Jesse headed over to the desk and leaned over it, watching her shuffle through files and papers. "Are you okay?"

Jane didn’t look up this time. “Yeah, yeah, of course.” A couple of papers fell to the floor. “Ack, sorry, I’ll get that…”

Jesse put a hand on her shoulder. "You don't really…sound fine."

Jane froze. “Umm…. am I that obvious?”
