She wanted to cry, but instead she grabbed his arm and held it up. "I suppose your doppelganger has one of these too?" she asked, tugging slightly at the charm on his wrist. THen she held up her necklace. "Just like mine."

Kelton kept trying to play dumb and innocent, quickly pulling his wrist away. "I don't know about my doppelganger. If anything, you would since you claim that you know him."

“Don’t lie to me, Kelton. I know it’s you. You can trust me,” she said, lowering her voice even more, “I won’t blow your cover. I promise.”

"Fine, answer this question correctly. What's Kelton's natural hair color?" He asked, crossing his arms and looking around the room to see what everyone else was doing.

"Your hair is naturally dirty blond, thank you very much," she responded. "Bonus: you were always begging to get your hair dyed when you were younger."

Kelton sighed in defeat. "Fine, you got me. Also, I didn't beg my parents to let me dye my hair, I have some decency."

Piper didn't even respond, she just hugged him. "I haven't seen you in years," she breathed, trying to convince herself that she was actually seeing him.

Kelton's face turned red but he hugged back. "Same here, don't you think everyone is going to think we're up to something?"

“I don’t care,” she said, even though she drew back. “I missed you.”

Kelton chuckled. "Fine, we're going to meet up after-school. Is that okay?"

"You mean just you and me?" Piper asked him. She needed to talk to him anyway, preferably without other people around.

"Obviously," Kelton answered. "Also, wanna work together for the winter show?"

"Uh yeah, sure," Piper answered. They were interrupted however, by Mrs. Anderson telling them to get to work.

Kelton glanced at Mrs. Anderson and nodded before glancing at Piper again. "So, what do you want to do?"

“Umm I don’t know, what do you want to do?” She responded. She was often indecisive.

"Well, I'm fine with anything. Here, what if we list some things we would like to do then we can use a random number generator to pick what we're going to do?" Kelton suggested, knowing both of them were very indecisive.

"Strange, but ok," Piper answered. She went over to get her bag and dragged it over to where Kelton was sitting.

"Well, I am weird so it fits me then." Kelton said with a slight laugh, looking around to see what his friends were doing.

She just giggled and sat on the bench next to him.
"Alright, so I was thinking maybe some instrumental music would be best, that way wwe can tell any story we want," she said, and headed straight for one of her favorite playlists on her phone.

Kelton nodded. "What song were you thinking we could use?" He asked, a small smile on his face.

"Ok, maybe. . . this one?" She pointed to a song at the bottom of the playlist. "Actually I've been working on a choreo for this one, and it'd be fairly easy to make it two people instead of one."

Kelton glanced at the song's name and nodded. "Sure!"

The continued to throw out ideas for the rest of dance class, until it was time to leave. As soon as Mrs. Anderson dismissed class, Kelton's friends rallied around him and Piper to collect their things. She didn't have time to do anything accept slip a note into his hand and walk out.

Kelton was almost immediately bombarded with questions when Mrs. Anderson dismissed class. They all either asked who the girl he was talking to was or asking him if he had a crush on her. He just shook his head and replied with a simple. "No, to all those questions," and managed to make his way out before heading out of the class.

She headed down to the library to drop off one of her books, and also to get some peace and quiet. What am I gonna do? she thought to herself. She had to be very careful about not telling people too much about herself, otherwise she might let the truth slip out. But how was she supposed to be friends with Kelton without people asking too many questions? And how could she not be friends with Kelton?

Kelton made it out of the studio and slipped into the library, quietly humming to a song he was listening to. He usually stayed at the library for a while before heading to the cafe to work his day shift.

Piper peeled her head out from behind a stack of books when she heard the door squeak, and to her surprise she saw Kelton walk in. But then Cassie walked in. Oh boy, she thought.

Kelton quickly went over to the librarian and smiled kindly at her. "Hey, got anything I can do?" She nodded and handed him a heap of books. "Can you sort these out and put them in the right places?" Kelton nodded and went over to a table so he could start sorting.
