"I– It feels better, and it doesn't hurt as bad as it used to…." She glanced down at it (if she was able to the way she was sitting). "It's still swollen, I think…." Claire grinned. "But I wouldn't mind if you carried me."

Dare grinned back and bounced her a little on his lap. "Then carry you I shall!" He chuckled, then booped her cheek with his nose.
Claire giggled, not feeling the slightest flush on her face– although she could tell it was red. "Well then? What are you waiting for?" She asked jokingly, wrapping her arms around his neck for stability.
Dare gave a mischievous smirk and swept her up as he stood. He swung her around a bit. "Your face is almost as red as a fox's…" he whispered in her ear. "Why might that be?"
"Well– Does it look like I know??" Claire was a tad bit flustered when he got so close like that, but she thought that unsureness was gone for good. Nonetheless, she smiled cutely. "I mean… Not that it doesn't matter…"
"Hmmm…" Dare tilted his head. "Maybe we can find out then?" He brushed against her ear with his mouth, as if by accident as he leaned back, waiting to see if she would grow redder.
Claire screwed her eyes shut, a sour sense coming to her cheeks. "Wh– why would we want to find out??" She really wasn't sure if she liked this kind of flirtatious feel that he was giving her, yet it kept her mind from going a bit insane, so she figured it wasn't the worst.
Dare saw her flush a bit. He chuckled and pulled back, letting himself slip back to his normal self again. "I'm just kidding!" He smiles. Does she feel like that towards me??
Claire just hugged him tight. "Well that's a relief," She joked. He just keeps me so calm and well-comforted… My life would still be a wreck if it weren't for him… She leaned her head against his shoulder, feeling the faint rhythm of his heartbeat.
Dare's forehead furrowed, and his gaze became unfocused. He rocked her gently in his arms, but he worried. What if I do something wrong? What if I end up hurting her?
Claire hummed, loving the motion of Dare's rocking. She glanced up at him, and saw that he was kind of staring off into space, and his face had that worried look. "Is everything alright?…." She didn't really want to be concerned, but she couldn't help herself.
Dare's gaze snapped back into focus, leaving him a little disoriented. He looked down at her. "Hmm? Oh, yeah. I'm… fine." He gave her a small, unconvincing smile.
"Well…. Sometimes, you can't be too sure…." Claire smiled back. "That look on your face gave a small scare…" But after what he told me… I don't know if he's actually really fine…
Dare tipped his head, smiling still. "Well, I'm sorry. I'll try not to scare you again." His eyes showed fear though, hidden behind a facade of cheerfulness. He looked back out a window and hummed. Please. Please. Don't ask. I might start crying again…
Claire burrowed into him. She wanted to say it now that they were like this. He was holding her in hid arms, for Pete's sake… And she wasn't squirming about or anything like she didn't like it… I could stay with you forever…
(ooooooffff… Can we now???)
(What?)
(Mmmmffffff…. I want them to kiiiiisssss! [That was very embarrassing for me to say, please don't make fun of me.])
(Do I have permission for him to at least kiss her on the forehead??)
(Lol of course– honestly I wanted them to a long time ago, and… Heh… Claire doesn't know how good of a kisser she is yet anyways…)
(Hey, she can't be any worse than me. [Still has yet for first kiss])
Dareon smiled as Claire snuggled into him. He leaned down and kissed her cheek. "You're beautiful by the way. Did you know that?" His eyes sparkled with mischief.
Claire felt her cheek tingle where he… Kissed her? Did she feel that right? She smiled, taking in a deep breath to try to calm her fluttering heart. "You really think so?" I must be somewhat hideous, though. It's been so long since I took a bath of some sort…
Dare smiled and kissed her other cheek, seeing as how she hadn't protested at the last one. "Yep. I'm sure. And if you look pretty now, I'm sure you look radiant after a hot bath. Maybe we can get you one at the next place we stop at." He shifted her in his arms, trying to make her more comfortable as he sat in an armchair in the waiting room they were in.
Claire laughed a little. "That is, if there's still clean water, let alone clean hot water…" She scratched at her pulled-back hair– it was beginning to annoy her a bit since it was probably all oily and dirty, and the fact that it was pulled back irritated her scalp a little. "And there better be something to clean with, too…" She leaned against him despite her strange thoughts.
Dare chuckled. "I'll try to scrounge something up. Don't want my princess to feel icky." He kissed between her eyes then lowered his head ever so slightly, her breath warming his cheeks. He looked into her eyes, silently asking if he had permission…
Claire grinned, still feeling that restless flutteriness in her chest. "That's fine by me…" She pressed her forehead against his, taking his cheeks in her hands. She couldn't wait much longer for it, but she didn't want to be the one to make the first move.
Dare felt her hands on his cheeks and couldn't hold back anymore. He crashed his lips into hers, moving them gently. Feeling her against his mouth.
Claire flinched a little, and she felt her heart melting but she didn't pull away the slightest pinch. She stroked her thumbs, the smoothness of his skin pleasing her. However the more they were in that first lip-lock, the hotter Claire's face got, and the jittery the butterflies became in her gut. Was this what it felt like to truly love someone?
Dare pulled her hair out of the ponytail so he run his fingers through her hair. He loved the feel of her. Finally, he pulled back, cursing the need for oxygen. He smiled at her, face flushed. "You are a good kisser…"
Claire smiled back as usual. "I could say the same to you…." She said softly, stretching up from her waist, pushing her hair back with a flick of her head. Her hands were still on his reddened face, and she giggled a little. "Look who's all red now, huh?"
