Sage yelped as he walked away. No way was she just gonna stand around alone. "Hey! Wait, wait, wait!! Wouldn't it be best for the both of us if you just show me the way out? If I don't resurface soon, people are gonna come searching. All of my friends know I'm here. And i'm more than positive you don't want people stumbling on the unread scientist and his friends…"

The scientist paused, laughing lightly. “No one’s gonna be as stupid as to walk up here. There’s no one here, after all. You’ll just be Red’s lunch, and honestly that’s a good way to say good-bye. He won’t make it hurt. You should be very glad.”

"No, no, no! Please!" Sage cried. "Please, just show me put of here! I won't tell anyone what I saw, just please!" She couldn't believe herself, begging this nutjob to spare her life, she was so pathetic. This would've been a great time to assault him with the phone.

The scientist yawned widely, waving his hand at her. “How can you prove that? Lies, lies lies lies. Humans are very annoying, jeez.” He chuckled softly, continuing to ease himself along the dark hallway.

Sage was conflicted between crying and screaming at him. Her grip tightened on her phone, not out of anger but out of fear. Pure, unadulterated fear, something she'd never truly felt before. If she didn't find a way out, she had no doubt this man would let that monster eat her… She didn't stand a chance.

The scientist’s soft humming slowly, ever so slowly, died off as he slunk away from her. He apparently had a long stride, for it was strange how quickly he slipped away. Now, she could barely hear him.

"No!" she screamed, running after him. But he was gone before she could catch up. Left in the darkness, the tears fell. Dread fill her and made her stomach churn. She felt into the darkness for a wall. She leaned against one and turned her useless flashlight on once more.

“No?” Asked his purring voice once again. He somehow creeped up next to her, albiet a couple feet away.
“No what?”

She jumped at the sound of his voice, inching away from him. He was taunting her. He was going to let her die. But frankly, she just had a little bit of begging still inside of her. "Don't leave me here, please. I do anything you want." she whimpered, looking in the direction his voice had come.

“Why shouldn’t I? You were the one who trespassed.” He stepped closer, into the light of her phone. He looked pale and skinny in the face, yet handsome and clever. He had a dancing smile on his face, one that told her he wouldn’t leave her here.

"I–I…" Her words fell away as he stepped into the light. How could someone so dangerous be so handsome. "I — I got curious… Im sorry."

The scientist shook out his pale blond hair, returning a bright smile on his face. “Curiousity could lead to dire consequences. Come. I will lead you to my room. And I will get you a map of my lab, then you may leave.”

Sage hesitated. How could she trust him? Just two seconds ago he was ready to let her become monster-dinner and now he was all smiles and helpfulness. This could be a trap…. She knew that. But, what other option did she have? She wasn't getting out without him so she had no choice but to follow. And that's exactly what she did.

The scientist whipped around as she nodded, leading her down the long, winding hallways.
“You know I was just kidding. None of these guys likes human parts.”

Sage stopped in her tracks. "What?" Her eyebrow twitched. "That thing wasn't going to eat me?" Sage wasn't sure if she should feel relieved or angry. Just moments ago he had watched her cry and beg in fear.

“Nah,” The man said nonchalantly. “Lies are a funny thing, you know? Now come on, you’ll get lost again. Keep me in your sights. No matter how much you don’t want to.”

And she truly didn't want to. What she wanted was to flip him the birdy and be on her way but that would have to wait. Seething in anger, she followed behind him, her eyes burning holes through his chest.

The scientist kept on his confident smile. Soon, perhaps in just a couple minutes, they arrived at his room. It was better lit and neater than the rest of the home and lab. One corner was his desk, littered with paper and wrappings to food, and his bed, which was strewn about.
“Here we are,” He hummed grabbing a large blueprint from off of his desk.

Sage furrowed her brow and remained by the door. She'd had enough of this man and his smiling. She just wanted to leave.

The scientist settled on his desk chair, yawning. “So I can’t let you keep it, so you’ll have to write the directions down somewhere.”

Sage deflated a bit. "Oh." she grumbled, stepping closer to inspect the blueprint. She lifted her phone. "I can just take a picture."

The scientist glanced up at her. “Nah. You’ll have to write it down. How do I know you won’t delete it?”

"Because getting out of here is my top priority and deleting a picture that I'm using to guide me out would defeat my whole purpose, therefore I would not do it," Sage picked her nail. "Besides, how do you know I won't lose the paper I write it on or something?"

“Just put it on the notes section in your phone,” The scientist lazily instructed. “With no context. And I want you to delete it once you get out.”

Sage rolled her eyes but did as she was told. She wasn't silent until she finished. "Whelp, there we go. I wish I could say it was nice .meeting you…..but it wasn't. " she turned to the door.

The scientist rolled his eyes. “I could say the same. You put a nasty dent into my schedule. This is why I put the sign up, you know!” He called after her, shaking his head.

"Haha…." Sage laughed, mimicking him. "Well, signs are a funny thing, you know?" And with that, she left his room. She kept her eyes flickering from the map to the space before her.

((Yeah but why would she come back? Him….her phone dies before she can make it all the way? Its dark out and she can't travel until morning, that gives him one night to make her a prisoner. XD id k))
