yes, but I'm trying to move beyond mythology/urban legends
like do they have a deity? several deities?
do they worship magic (I'm thinking no, that's a little occult for my tastes lol)

I think I'll have a guardian/god for each river (since we already talked about that for meminileth), and then a general god over the spring, the Heart of WL

I do think it will involve dreams and/or imagination though
maybe each of the magical realms (NL, WL, etc) are products of different dreams/imaginations coalescing into something concrete

yes, and that makes it harder to find some of the rivers- some rivers like to be found, others do not
