Devon smiled softly at the animal, "You seem like a nice horse…or maybe it's just that animals are drawn to me….I think it is because I am quiet..and a pacifist…" he hummed, petting the horse's nose. "Sorry I glared at you a lot yesterday…it's just unfair that something as beautiful as you should be in a world like this"

Sinjoro kept chewing, but pushed his nose into Devon appreciatively. He was protective of Lucky, but as long this person showed no ill will towards his owner, he would be friendly.

"Okay," Alastor nodded. He followed Lucky's gaze and when he saw Ariella he offered her a friendly smile.
"Ariella, right? I don't think we've had a chance to actually talk to each other. It's nice to meet you," he said to her, snapping his fingers when he spotted Zeus trying to take the empty couch spot next to Lucky. The German Shepherd huffed but backed away from it, lying himself down on the floor instead.

Lucky had to chuckle at Zeus's annoyed huff. It was such a little thing, but it made him smile.
He hoped Ariella would respond to Alastor. The older ex-cop seemed stable, and Lucky knew their little group needed that.

Devon smiled softly, "just don't let anyone find out I was being nice to you..June would judge me" He sighed, petting Sinjoro.

Sinjoro nickered conspiratorially, as if agreeing not to tell anyone.

(I'm not really sure what else to put here, its a conversation with a horse XD )

Sinjoro snorted at him again, tossing his mane as a goodbye.

Lucky could hear all the noise from inside, and wondered what Devon had said to make the horse so happy. He smiled at Devon as he came back in.

Liam nodded and suppressed a yawn. He climbed back in through the window, and walked to the Kitchen to find some food.

Ronni came back through the door and saw everybody was awake. She looked around at them all, checking everybody, and they all seemed ok. Lucky looked like he'd been hit by a Mac truck, but he was smiling and talking. Ariella still looked scared but Alastor was trying to engage her.
Guess we'll make an ok team.

Devon kept his eyes to the floor as he re-entered, sitting on the couch without a word. He took a box out of his pocket and fiddled with it.

Lucky smiled at Ronni as she came in, and glanced over as Liam came through the window.
Well that's different. he thought to himself.
He looked back over at Devon on the other end of the couch. "Whatcha got in the box?"

Devon looked up, opening the box to reveal a pocket knife, "never been taken out of the box…but just in case…."he sighed, closing the box and putting it back in his pocket.

Lucky nodded. "Better safe than sorry. Have you two been pretty safe so far?"
He knew people were desperate, and that lead to crazy things, like getting ambushed on the highway. It had happened to him twice, and he was hoping Devon was about to tell him that he and June had been unbothered.

Ronni noted Lucas looking thoughtful. She walked past him on her way to the kitchen, and gently kicked his leg to get his attention. She rubbed her stomach when he looked up, a quizzical look on her face.
You hungry?

(I really hope Lucas and Ronni end up having that wholesome friendship (maybe relationship???) because I like their interactions alot.)

Ariella norced Lucky pat the spot next to him. She gulped wnd looked around. There were a lot of people. But the dog was over there. So she padded her way over, petting Zeus briefly before sitting down. She wasn't sure how to respond to Alastor. "We should probably get more ingredients soon."

Lucky frowned just a little. She'd been very kind to him, almost embarrassingly gentle and sweet to him, but her super-standoffishness to other people was bothering him. Maybe it was because it was just so rude, or maybe it was because they'd been nothing but nice, or maybe it was just his raw feelings being hypersensitive to everything.
"You're not gonna respond to Alastor?" he prompted softly.

Lucas looked at her and smiled thoughtfully. Sure he mouthed to her, not wanting anyone to hear the next part of his sentence but can we eat on the roof? There's to many people in here and I need a break.

Ronni quirked an eyebrow and shook her head just a little.
Wasn't he the one who suggested we come down from the roof not 2 minutes ago?
Tanya nodded in her head. And you'd be alone… be careful.
Ronni gestured towards the hall. It was a decent compromise, away from people but close enough to call for help.

(I'm sorry, not trying to ignore you, just got a lot of repsonses to do and I'm also at work so sometimes it takes me a minute)

Ariella ignored Lucky and focused on Zeus. She didn't owe anything to anyone.
Alastor's smile faltered a bit. He didn't say anything bad, did he?
"We got some more food when we came here yesterday," he said, glancing at his backpack. "If we need more then I can take Zeus out and he can help us find more supplies."

Lucky gave Ariella a long look, before shaking his head slightly and responding to Alastor. "You're right, we've got plenty. We'll be fine for a while, as long as nobody pigs out or anything." He stood and moved over onto the floor by Alastor, lowering his voice.
"Remind me, which way were you guys headed?" He swallowed a sudden lump in his throat. "My travel plans have been permanently canceled, so I figured I'd just go with you."

Lucas stood up and walked over to her, and smiled as he walked into the hall, he sat against the wall and slid down, resting his cheek against the palm of his hand.

Ronni ducked into the kitchen real quick and grabbed them a couple of those gas station sandwiches in the sealed plastic packages. They weren't fantastic, but they were food.
She went out and sat next to him in the hallway, handing him a sandwich.
