So… instead of have a tattoo matching your soulmate's… everyone has a distinct tattoo that's just their own.
However, when you get a crush on someone, their tattoo appears on your body as well. And when you kiss a person who has your tattoo on their body, all of their other tattoos disappear, and their tattoo is replaced by yours.
But if they fall out of love or you fall out of love with them, their body returns to its original state, but their tattoo has a large black line running through it, like the line in a broken heart.
People with no tattoo but theirs are considered odd for never having a crush, or a conquest for someone to take.
People with tattoos covering their bodies are looked at with pity, for they have loved and never been loved.

She also has one of a ribcage butterfly that is on her thigh. (Where April used to touch her when they were… you know)
Clothing: Like in the picture, it's usually some type of short shorts, a revealing top, and leggings all the way to her thigh with some type of beautiful, but badass, footwear. People used to think that she had a tattoo on her thigh, but one day, she came to school without those leggings and no tattoo. Some thought that she just went to a tattoo parlor, but she stopped wearing leggings for a whole month during the summer, and removals don't last that long. Once everyone found out that she got an invite to a superhero academy, everyone instantly thought that she was a shapeshifter, and she was shunned by even her closest friends. (shapeshifters have a reputation for deceit and backstabbing)
Personality: The shapeshifting stereotype isn't necessarily wrong, for her. Aisha was kind of like the school's mean girl and the cliched Wattpad "slut" (y'all know which one I'm talking about; the one that consistently gets the short end of the stick). Very seductive, very intelligent and cunning. Knows how to work boys to her advantage. Pretends not to mind being called a "slut" but actually does. An expert liar, Aisha is particularly mischievous. She is partially motivated by the desire of redemption for her past. She has an overwhelming ambition, never surrenders, and is secretly a nice person at heart. Regrets fufilling the "bisexual slut" stereotype.
Power (Optional): Has the power of shapeshifting. Pretty rare, but not super powerful. Can fake tattoos and can cover them up. However, that takes up a lot of energy.
Other: April's her ex, and the only one who ever broke Aisha's heart/the only who did the dumping in Aisha's dating history. She has dark brown hair bobbed short, pale skin, dark eyes full of intelligence, and a stubborn attitude. Type-A personality. Aisha cheated on April, and they broke up when April caught Aisha and another girl kissing in a broom closet (dick move Aisha).
So now when Aisha got her acceptance letter to the superhero academy, she took it as a chance for a fresh start.

And on tattoo parlors! You can go to one to have your tattoo changed or removed, but it's only temporary. Every day after the "removal," the original tattoo starts to show up as a faded outline, then grows brighter and brighter until it's back to normal. But the thing about tattoo parlors are that they are REALLY FREAKING EXPENSIVE. And you can't pay with money, either… you have to pay with a bit of your power.

Appearance: Oh goodness. Okay, so, she had this light brown hair color as if mother nature took the bark of the tallest tree and the rich look of the soil after it rains creating this wonderful thing atop her head she tends to hate. It flows down a little past her shoulders and face. Her eyes are like a reflection of her hair, but just on the very outer layer you can make out little cracks of sadness creeping up on everyone. Whenever she smiles, these dimples appear along with this glow the stars above have ever seen. She has a fairly average frame.
Tattoo: She has a small, black her heart at her wrist. (She doesn't know, but it sybolizes how easily she falls in love plus sommmeetthinnngg else yep yep yep) Though she falls easily, hers has only truly been replaced three times. Tattoo: Claire only has one small blue hummingbird on her upper arm near her shoulder with a bold black line through it (a painful memory) She used to have a lot of tattoos until the whole entire painful memory thing (which will be revealed later)
Clothing: Claire always tries to cover up her tattoo so she seldom wears sleeveless t shirts and always has a t shirt when she goes swimming. She normally wears jeans with a regular shirt and shoes
Personality: Claire is a generally sweet and kind person who just wants her friends and family to be happy She'd die for the people she loves (and almost did once) Although she is an outgoing person with a lot of friends, there are many moments where she feels utterly and hopelessly lost and alone. Extremely devoted to her friends but has been warned that she trusts people too easily
