Cameron nodded and inhaled. "Yes, right, Lilah. We're going now, Williams, I don't care what you say."
"Sir, just a gentle warning, the people might not take you so kindly after-"
"That is my parent's issue."
"They might hurt you, sir!"

Lilah frowned. "Why wouldn't they like it?" she quietly asked Cameron, hoping the butler wouldn't hear.
Cameron squeezed her hand and turned his back on Williams. "We're going now," Cameron declared.
He quickly started walking, and once they were a way away, Cameron started to explain, "The people aren't to happy with my parents right now." He bit his lip. "They made a really bad financial decision and had to raise taxes on the people to make up for it."

"So they would take it out on you…" Lilah mused quietly. "You shouldn't have to bear your parents' burdens."
Cameron nodded. "I feel the same way, but that's just… how it works." He shrugged a defeated man's shrug and continued walking, keeping his gaze on his feet.

Lilah followed after him, frowning slightly. She didn't like that, not at all, but what could she do about it?
She sighed and squeezed Cameron's hand, just letting him know he wasn't alone.
Cameron bit his tongue and raised his head, squeezing her hand back.
"Anyway," He started quietly, "the planetarium's just straight then right. I thought we could just walk."

"Sounds good to me," Lilah agreed, looking up at him with a smile. "I'm excited to see what's there."
Cameron met her gaze gently. "Yeah, it's really cool. I think you'll like it."

Lilah continued to just smile at him for a moment as they walked.
"You doing okay?" she asked softly.
Cameron nodded and glanced up at her. "Yeah, I'm alright." His voice was soft too.

"All right." If Cameron said he was fine, Lilah wouldn't push him. "Thanks again for the roses. It means a lot to me."
Cameron smiled bashfully. "You're welcome. I'm glad you liked them."

Lilah hummed as they walked, just random songs that would pop into her head. A lot of them were really old, songs that her great-great-grandparents would have listened to when they were her age. Currently, she was thinking of A Whole New World, from Aladdin.
Cameron was listening to her, and his thoughts varied to:

Okay, okay.
HOLY CRAP NO WAY! A WHOLE NEW WORLD? SHE KNOWS THAT SONG?
And soon he found himself humming along like the brainwashed idiot he is.
(Hey MothGirl, I just wanted to say I'm going to be leaving around five or six tomorrow (EST) and I'll be gone through IDK. Because I'm banking on getting my school IPad, and I might be able to pop on and off, but das it.)

(All right. Thanks for letting me know. I'm not sure how often I'll be on this weekend; I might go out with friends tomorrow, and Sunday I have church.)
Lilah stopped when she heard Cameron start to hum, a bit embarrassed that he had heard her. She never sang or hummed in front of anyone except Liam, but that was only because he was her brother. Her cheeks were stained pink, and she didn't know if she should continue humming or not.

"It's not that," Lilah mumbled, not meeting his eyes. She bit her lip as she looked away.
Cameron turned his head to look at her. "What is it?" He paused. "Unless you don't want to tell me… I won't make you."

Lilah shrugged. "I'm just… I don't normally even hum in front of others… Liam is the only one who's heard me really sing," she explained quietly.
Cameron blinked. "I bet you're brilliant at singing." He grinned. "I'd love to hear you sometime, but when you're comfortable, I guess." He looked back up to the street.

"Right. Yeah. Sure," Lilah agreed, though not ver committely. Should she sing for him? When? What song?
Cameron walked in silence for a few more minutes, then Lilah felt him turning. "It's just up this road." He glanced back at her.
"You coming?" He asked with a warm smile.

"Yeah, I'm coming," Lilah said, returning the smile. "I can't wait to see everything!"
Cameron hummed gently in agreement. "I don't know how well it's doing, but I guess we'll find out."
The pair eventually made it to the planetarium. It was small and had a rounded dome near the middle. They walked up to purchase their tickets.
"Two, please," Cameron said politely, holding out cash.
The person at the stand studied Cameron's face. "Nope, sorry."

Lilah sighed and rolled her eyes.
"Come on. Please? We're willing to pay to get in," she tried to reason with the cashier.
Cameron sighed. "Yeah, seriously."
"Nope, no entry." The dude shook his head.
Cameron shook his head. "How much do you want?"
"I'm not going to let you in."
