(Uhm)
A Choice [One-On-One // Closed]
(Lol.
Lilah's oblivious to them.)
Lilah agreed that it would be fun and also washed her hands. Once they were dry, she washed the bowl of strawberries as well.
A young cook woman came in and started toward Noah, and his eye lit up at the sight of her. The cook whispered something in the man's ear, causing him to grin and kiss her cheek before she walked away.
Noah watched after her, and Lilah watched him with an amused expression. When he faced two royals again, he cleared his throat before speaking.
"Sorry about that. Now, let's get to work on that strawberry sauce, shall we?"
(Uhm)
(I know, I'm sorry! I had to say goodbye to my parents before they left for a meeting.)
Cameron dried off his hands, finding one thing to be less annoyed about. He crossed his arms then leaned forward a little.
"Yes, let's," He found himself murmur.
(Uhm)
(I know, I'm sorry! I had to say goodbye to my parents before they left for a meeting.)
(Oh okay! My mum'll be home any minute so that's why I have to get off soon. I'm just.. annoying.)
(It's okay. Lol. I'm that way, too.)
Noah directed them as they made the topping, and when it was finished, he pulled the top off the cheesecake and poured it over.
"Dig in!" he exclaimed, grinning.
Lilah smiled as she grabbed a plate and fork and cut herself a pice of the dessert. "Mmm… Perfect!"
Cameron grabbed a plate and a fork as well, before cutting himself a piece carefully. He leaned against the wall, poking the desert with his fork for a while, then took a small piece of it.
"Wow…" He murmured his shock at the desert. "This is… great." He took a bigger piece of it.
(Emmaaaaa)
(Dishes, sorry.)
"Thank you! I do try to do my best," Noah said. He glanced over his shoulder in the direction the young cook had gone, and Lilah laughed to herself.
"Go on, lovebird. I'm sure she's waiting for you to finish up here," she teased, motioning for him to go. He looked hesitant for a moment, but Lilah gave him a look and he soon left. She turned back to Cameron. "That was his girlfriend," she explained. "They've been dating for a while. I think he's been working up the courage to propose to her soon."
Cameron glanced up from the plate with a mouthful of food. One of his eyebrows were raised, and by the way his eyes were widened he looked very dog-like.
"Mhphmmmphmm," He mumbled through a mouthful of food.
Lilah laughed. "Oh my gosh, you look ridiculous!"
Cameron swallowed his mouthful and hastily jerked his head up, crumbs falling off of his cheeks.
"You look ridiculous!" He shot back, turning red, not meaning that at all. "Imean… uh…"
That just caused Lilah to laugh harder, and she had to set her plate down as she sat on the floor.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" she gasped between laughing. "But you should really see yourself right now!"
Cameron bit his tongue and glared at her. "Shut up!" He suddenly became aware of how childish that sounded and hated it. I'm supposed to be a twenty-one year old. Not a seven-year-old!
Lilah covered her mouth as she snorted from laughing. Her cheeks burned bright red (hehe, I'm listening to Red. Lol), and she tried to stop laugh so that it would stop.
Cameron shook his head at her snort, a slight smile on his face. He probably did look ridiculous, and that look on her face told him so.
"You snort?" Cameron blurted out rather rudely. "I didn't know that!"
The red on the princess' cheeks deepened and her laughter finally died down.
"Well, it's not something I go around telling people," she mumbled as she looked away, embarrassed.
Cameron straightened up against the wall. "Then I won't tell anyone." He grinned a little.
Lilah glanced back over at him, unsure if he was being serious or not.
"Good," she said simply, with a curt nod.
He raised an eyebrow again. "What? I won't I promise!" His naturally dog-like eyes widened and he lifted his hands in a symbol of truth and 'plz don't hurt me'.
Lilah rolled her eyes and couldn't help the small smile that made it's way onto her lips.
"Okay, I believe you."
Cameron fluffed himself back out, in a vain attempt to make himself look more intimidating.
"Good," He grunted, turning a faint red again.
"Are you… blushing?" Lilah asked, peering at him with a slight smirk. She may have just been blushing, but that just meant that she could hide the fact with teasing. Right?
"You were blushing too," Cameron growled defensively. I was totally blushing but she has no room to try and get me… to blush more.
(If I don't respond it's because my sis and I are watching a movie.)
The blush reappeared on her cheeks. "So…" she mumbled.
(Kayyyy)
Cameron finished the cheesecake and glanced up at her.
"What were you planning to do next?" He asked, oblivious to the awkwardness.
Lilah shrugged and took a bite of her dessert.
"I… didn't really have a plan…" she admitted.
Cameron blinked at her and set the plate down. "So… did you really invite me because I was… different? The Metzler family is much worse than different."
"I mean, yeah. How… What does that mean? They're 'worse than different'?" Lilah asked, giving him a curious look.
Cameron sighed. "What aren't we? We're not royalty." He sighed. "My butler is the main reason people actually know me, though."
