Cameron jogged over to the car and hopped into the passenger's. He buckled in and relaxed into the seat, humming as he looked around the inside.

The key was already in the ignition, and some radio station was playing old Country music. Lilah climbed in and glanced over at Cameron with a smile.
"You ready?" she asked as she buckled herself in.

Lilah parked the Jeep in front of the small, old-fashioned diner. And by "old-fashioned" that meant, like, 1950's era old.
"Ta-da!" she said as they stopped.

Cameron let out a low whistle, scrutinizing the diner. "I didn't think it'd be this retro!" He gave a gentle laugh as he stepped out of the car.

Cameron gave her hand a little squeeze and opened the diner door, then inside. He looked around the heavily A/Ced restaurant. It was full of rickety little tables, red, worn booths, a white and red counter with matching metal stools and somewhere in the back, was an actual A/C unit and a jukebox.
"Hello there!" A motherly, plump looking waitress trotted up. She had her messy brown hair tied up into a bun and kind blue eyes that sparkled when she saw the pair. "Go take a seat, I'll be right with y'all."

"Thank you," Lilah said with a grin as she gently tugged Cameron over to a booth near a window. "Ugh, I'm starving…"

Cameron laughed gently and sat down first, generally unsure if Lilah wanted to sit next to him or across from him.
"We could've left sooner, you know."

"I'm just getting a water, bacon cheeseburger, and fries. They have the best fries," Lilah declared, looking back up at Cameron with a grin.
