She smiled.

"I think this is the first time I've seen you smile in the five minutes I've known, it's a good look on you."
"Can it."
He smirked, "But I don't have a can."
She gave him a look. "You know what I mean. Now, come on, we gotta get going."
"Okay, I'll just follow you," He said before mumbling, "I hope you know where you're going."
"Yup." She said seriously, turning to walk. "Jericho."
"What? What do you mean 'Jericho'?" He asked, following her.
"Next town they're attacking. They've been attacking cities with biblical names. Didn't you notice?" She said coyly, stopping at an old car as she unlocked it.
"No, strangely enough, I don't tend to pay much attention to the names of the places," He defended, looking at the car, "This yours then?"
"Yep. Not much, but get's me 'round." She shrugged, getting in and trowing her bag in the back.
He got into the passenger's seat, "How long will this take? Will I need a change of clothes or something?"
"Doubt it." She said
"Okay, good." He said, watching the buildings pass out the window.
She drove, humming to herself
"My name is Razin, by the way," He said, only just realising they hadn't even introduced themselves.
"Melody."
"Nice name," He complimented.
"Thanks." She said flatly
They sat in an awkward silence the rest of the way there, they eventually stopped outside a motel.
She turned the car off and opened the door. "Wait here, I'll get a room."
"Sure," He took off his seatbelt.
She went in, asking for a room for two
The owner nodded, handing her an old key, "Room 306. Second floor on the left."
She thanked him, heading back to the car
"You get one?" Razin asked.
"Yeah, let's go." She walked around to the trunk to grab a duffel bag
"Okay," He followed her, letting her take the lead.
She climbed up to the third floor, walking down to the door
He looked around at the peeling walls and the splintering window frame, "Charming place this."
