A Safe Place (A few more male characters would be nice)

"So… cigarettes. Do you, like, actually smoke them?"

(That movie was hilarious! The end scene though…)
Ryan side glanced Paige, “Course. My parents… They tended to ignore the fact that my room smelled like campfire all the time for my sake,” Ryan explained warily. He never had an encounter with the cops cause of it, and he didn’t want to ever run in with them because of his cigs. That just make his life more of a living wreck.

"But why?" Paige questioned. (IKRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!)

“As in why do I smoke or why my parents ignore the fact that I smoke?” Ryan asked, sliding his fidgeting hands into his pockets.

"Both, I guess. Why would you decide to do something so awful?" Paige cut in front of him so that he stopped walking.

Ryan, slightly irritated, leaned against the wall to try to calm his nerves, “For my parents… They knew I’m dealing with a lot, I guess, so they thought it be better for me to be on drugs than worse. As for smoking in general… It feels good. I know that’s a crappy excuse but, you know, I never really intended to live long enough to see the harsh side of it,” Ryan held up a finger gun to his head for a second then laughed to himself.

Tara walked over to the two and put her head on Paige's shoulder. "Smoking can decrease your life expectancy, and you're destroying your lungs. I know it's hard to stop doing something when you're addicted, but you should at least try."

“At this point I don’t really care if I get cancer,” Ryan replied, his arm itching out in the open. All he would need is something sharp… “I think I’ll go to my room now.”

Paige saw the look reflected in his eyes. A look that she knew too well. "Don't you want something to eat?"

“No, I’m fine, really,” Ryan insisted and tried to walk around her. He just need to get to his room.

Tara looked at Paige, letting a knowing look pass between them. "You should really eat Ryan."

Josh walked out of his room "what's goin' in here?" he looked to josh and his mask went black. "oh hey there…"

“I don’t want to,” Ryan replied, annoyed now, “I just want to get a change of clothes, really.”

"I'll just…..leave, sorry." Tara whispered.

"You had a long car ride. You must be starving, " Paige insisted. She felt Tara tense up when Josh came out of his room. She stepped in between hi and her friend.

"I'll just…..leave, sorry." Tara whispered.

Ryan wanted to say something like ‘No, don’t be sorry’ or ‘I guess I could have dinner’, just to be nicer, but he was in such a crappy mood. He wanted to get rid of it, but… He shook his head slightly. Ryan just need to find something sharp.

Josh looked a little confused at Tara "oh right… masks sorry…" he looked to Ryan "you do look a little hungry… yet again that look…"

“What look?” Ryan glared, tapping his foot.

Josh walked a little closer "that look of anxiety…"

Ryan narrowed his eyes slightly, “So? I thought we al had problems here,” Ryan pointed out, getting more defensive.

"no need to get hostile, we're all gonna be here a while."

“Then let me get to my room,” Ryan ground out.

Paige figured that Josh could talk to him so she pulled Tara away. "It's fine. We're leaving. It's fine."

"now then that's quite rude…" he moved to the wall "you can head to your room, but you have to answer one question." (i have a feeling Ryan is going to punch Josh)

“What?” Ryan growled, the irritation showing in his voice.

(yes he can, josh will just hold it against him) "why are you angry?" he asked as he moved to the wall

Tara gratefully let Paige lead her away, not looking back.

"Whoa man, calm down."

"I thought we came here to de-stress…" Paige muttered. Her arms itches for cuts. She needed some ice from Cas, so that's the direction the she went. "I want to talk to you later, " she whispered to Tara, "about Caspian."

Tara nodded, keeping her arm wrapped around her friend. "Let's stick together….I think that would be best…."
