"Vaughn," is how he introduced himself, though it didn't matter too much to him. He would get home soon enough, and take Kaz and Malachi with him. He got up, nudging Kaz to stand as well, and he looked down at Malachi with a smile.

Lucy exhaled slowly as she got up, brushing off her blouse. She was ready to go back home. The thought made her pause and think- was she calling Earth home, or Orion's cabin home? If it was the cabin, she must think of some of these people as family, right? Family was so complicated, and so easy to loose.. The thoughts vanished when Lata stepped over, and she smiled down at her. "How are you doing?" she thought to ask.
Kaz got up with Vaughn before turning to Malachi. “Are you okay, buddy? I’m sorry you’re getting dragged all over the place, but we’ll get you home soon.”
Orion gives the group a smile, before turning to watch the woods.

Lata looked back up at Lucy. She let a light smile cross her features despite the situation.
"Yeah, what about you?"
In all honesty, she felt like going home and relaxing with her makeshift family. Not perfect, but the best thing that ever happened to her.

Malachi was ironically in quite the chipper mood. He felt bad for running off, but this was quite exciting. "I'm alright. Different is good, right?" he asked, smile spreading
Kaz laughed, ruffling Malachi’s head as he grinned. “Yes, different is alright. Dangerous different is bad though, so watch out for that,” Kaz warned him

Vaughn hummed in agreement to Kaz's words as he looked around. These woods made him feel uneasy, and he wondered where the hell they were now. He stepped away from Kaz and Malachi, moving over to where Orion was standing. "Orion right? You seem to know where we are, when are you going to get out of this hell hole?"

"Mm, yeah, I'm okay," Lucy hummed after a moment, nodding her head slowly. Anything was better than home at the moment. Though she wanted to get out of this place, she didn't want to go back to the real world and face what was really happening in her life.
“That might be difficult,” Sam spoke up. “These are the woods near the Spires, a collection of demon realms near the meltwood. We could be walking for years before we got out of the woods, and even if we did get out, we’ll have no way of telling where we are.”
“Unless you’ve got a half demon lying around,” Kaz said. “I know how to get to Fortenhein without running into the meltwood.”

"Wasn't talking to you, tall ass," Vaughn addressed Sam sharply with a sharp glare. He turned to Kaz, seeming to snap back into a relaxed state as he smiled at him.

This arguing would get them nowhere. "That's great that you are open to helping us, thank you," Lucy added in quickly with a polite smile, trying to get rid of some of the tension that she could feel lingering in the air and in some people's auras.
"Well fuck you too, mortal," Sam muttered, running a hand through his hair absently as he shot Vaughn a look. Kaz gave Lucy a thumbs up before returning to Vaughn.
"Yeah. Might be a little risky since Damascus might start trying to kick our asses if he knows we're headed towards Fortenhein."

"We'll be perfectly fine, safety in numbers," Vaughn commented, foot tapping in the dirt. His hands stuffed into the pocket of his unbuttoned suit jacket, feeling the barrel of his gun. He had been itching to use it, as he stopped killing when they adopted Malachi. He almost wished they'd run into something, just so he could use it.

Lucy's lips pursed as she listened to Kaz, growing a tad fidgety from worry. She nudged her glasses up a tad, before stepping over to Sam, giving his arm a nudge before speaking in a soft tone. "Try to be in a good mood, okay? We are going to be alright."
