Lucy glared sharply, her jaw clenched tightly. She ran a hand over her face, rubbing at the bridge of her nose. She exhaled slowly, the tension leaving her body. “Fine,” She responded calmly.

Lata made a point of glaring at him before sitting down in the grass by the river.

Lucy frowned softly, but sat next to Lata, moving the satchel onto her lap. She slipped her hood off and brushed back her hair using her fingers. “Thank you for offering to help,” she said to Lata, giving her a forced, warm smile.

Lata looked up at Lucy with a blank stare. She gave no response. It was quite obvious how forced the smile was.

Lucy dug out the spell book from her satchel and found the right page. “Here we go, ready? It’ll be fun,” she said.

(sorry for vanishing I was getting food lol) Sam stomped back to Lucy's cabin, not caring that he was doing a fantastic job of making it easy for anyone to follow his trail. When he got to the property, he saw two men trying to scratch out the runes on the trees around the building. They had managed to ruin most, except for a few they hadn't gotten to and the one he had burned into the tree. He didn't even ask them what they were doing. He gutted them in a frankly unnecessary display of power, flames spewing high into the air as he cut them in half. Still angry, he put his sword away and made his way back to the others

“Alright, hopefully I can do this. Weight is difficult. Supernatet,” she said, and flicked her fingers upward. With a small gust of force, Lata is lifted about a foot and a half into the air.
Sam finally got back to the others, and frowned at Lata. He couldn't tell if she was floating or if it was his bad eyesight, and resolved to just not care. He sat down near them. "The men are dead. Whoever controls them will find them burning sooner or later."

Lucy tilted her fingers a tad, lowering Lata slightly so she didn’t use as much of her energy. Her smile faltered and went away when she looked back at Sam. “Did you get anything out of them? What they came for?” She asked, not wanting to admit a very possible reason to herself- that they may have come simply to kill her. Around the time of the Salem Witch Trials, the people who turned the women in would usually earn a sum of money. Could it have been something like an older fashioned witch hunt? It made her cold with fear even at the possibility.
"More than likely bounty hunters. I was angry and didn't care to ask questions," he grumbled, fiddling with one of his rings absently

Lata was actually quite surprised with the spell. It felt kind of nice to be up in the air. Her calm expression left as soon as she noticed Samandriel coming back. He just wanted to protect them it seemed. She wanted to be angry, but reason kept pushing those thoughts away. Either way, their main focus should be those men. She considered Lucy as good of a friend as she's ever had and if anyone were to harm her…

Lucy thought about Sam’s offer, glancing over at Lata to see what she thought about it. She uncrossed her legs, hands in her lap. “As long as it’s safe..” she considered.

"Um, can I come down now?" she asked, seeing as Lucy was the one using the spell.
"It's been rather safe from my knowledge. Besides, Orion has good tea," Sam said, standing up again

Lucy nodded quickly and pointed her finger to the ground, and Lata was let down slowly. She got up and brushed herself off, packing her things away. She wrapped the cloak around herself to avoid the cold.

Standing back up, she began walking back to Orion's cabin along with the others.
Sam started to walk back in the direction of Orion's cabin. The running water was making his skin crack a little, and he just wanted to get back to the warmth of some kind of building
