There was the sound of the front door opening, and new auras clouded Lucy’s mind. More people? She pushed off the kitchen counter and walked slowly out into the hall to see who it was. She noticed Lata and Orion first, then the children. They looked familiar.. From the orphanage? Yes, she’d seen them when visiting the orphanage. She had never been allowed to actually talk to them, but she had definetly seen them. “What’s going on?” She asked hesitantly.

"Well, um… surprize…!" Lata said nervously. She had no idea how to explain this to Lucy. She also really did not want to bring up the marriage thing either.

Lucy arched a brow in question, but nodded anyways. She looked down at the young boy with a warm smile. “What’s your name, sweetheart?” She asked. His aura was off. He couldn’t be completely human.

"My name's Ben," he replied respectfully. "I think I remember seeing you at the orphanage before, miss."

Lucy nodded slowly, then crouched down to his height. “That’s right. I used to help out there with the sick children. My name is Lucy,” she said in a kind tone.

Ben smiled at the woman. Her aura also seemed quite gentle and welcoming. The three he had met so far all had similar auras in the sense that they were kind at heart. As well as the fact that he could feel that each held a deep hurt inside. Further away, he felt a fiery-like aura, seeming more towards protective than kind. At the current moment, it didn't seem to be hostile. That could be the man that Orion had mentioned. He almost snickered at the thought of the excuse that Sam was a dog.

Ben gave a relieved sigh. Thank goodness he would never have to go back to that terrible place. Mrs. and Mr. Quill were awfully terrible to him and his fellow magic users.
"Are you certain he came from the orphanage?" Slowly, the difference in Ben's aura was making more and more sense

"Look, I didn't go into that hell hole for nothing. I'm positive. I went with Orion literally just moments ago." Lata said, slightly irritated with Sam's questioning. The kid was even younger than her for that matter. Come on, give him a break, Sam.

"What is with you today?" Lata asked, irritated that Sam was so reluctant to accept a new member to the family. Usually even he wasn't this grumpy.
Ben froze, but covered it up with a confused look. Did he already see through my disguise…?
