Sebastian lay on his back on top of his mattress, eyes tracing the cracks in the paint of his bedroom ceiling. Singing quietly so that his foster father wouldn't hear, he took a deep breath in and let his eyes fall shut, warmed by the golden sunlight streaming through his window.

If I were a god, I'd want to be like Apollo., he thought abstractedly, running a hand through his messy hair.
All golden and musical. Made of light.

He sighed. Like that'll ever happen. You're stuck, Sebastian.
Sebastian hated being stuck.
Which was why he squeezed his eyes shut and tried to relax, tried to sleep, wishing for a lucid dream.
That was not exactly what he got.
