"I can see that " Alfred said. "Bars are more my style, really." He received his shots, and took the Patrōn. "Cafés are great too though." Now the Hennessey shot. "So… How you holding up?"

Kagura3417

"Very well, thank you," Megumi replied. "Nothing I can really complain about, really. Although, work is as stressful as always."
She finished her gin and stretched before looking at her phone. "Sheesh, I really need to get going. If I'm anymore late, then my friend is going to explode."

"Alright, see you around." Alfred said, handing the bartender the rest of the money for the dtinks.

Megumi continued to stretch herself as she walked out the bar and called the cab company March recommended.
Moments later, while getting into the cab, the only thing she could think of was Alfred. He really did seem like an interesting man, and not just because he helped her out.

Megumi started to chuckle. What was she thinking? She felt like a school girl who had her first crush.
"Well, he's obviously not my first," she said to herself. "But still…"

As he'd sat there, Alfred's mind wandered back to the events of that night. Megumi, she seemed to be a wonderful woman, he caught himself starting to wander off, and chuckled. "A few more shots, eh?"

The next morning, Megumi sipped her coffee as she flipped through her magazine. The cafe around her buzzed with its usual brunch rush, but she paid them no mind. All that she was focused on was the magazine, chock-full of all of the boots, dresses, stockings, and other articles of clothing that were in season.

(Sorry for the timeskip. I just wanted to move from the bar scene.)

Blake took his usual morning run listening to his 'underground' skater pop and pop punk. He passed by a small cafe and smiled, "I'll go after my run. A reward for myself," he thought.

Alfred crossed the street, he passed a neat little coffeehouse, while on his way to the motorcycle club. From what he could gather, the Dragons were having a rally there, he didn't want to miss out on this. He'd stop by the shop after. after.

Megumi shut her magazine as a waitress placed a chocolate pastry in front of her, gazing at the runner before burying her nose back in her magazine. Every once in a while, she would take a bite out of her pastry or sip her coffee.

"Hmm, these dresses seem to be really popular this season," she muttered.

Blake ran home and changed, then he drove to the little cafe he saw earlier on his run. As he walked into the cafe he took in the interesting buzz around him. He sat down and ordered a latte, then pulled out a book

Eve walked quickly to the closest coffeehouse to her apartment in desperate need of a cup of straight black coffee and an aspirin. She knew she hadn't been that drunk last night, but she was drunk enough to have a pounding headache. She didn't remember much from last night after walking away from Megumi and Alfred except for calling a cap and collapsing in bed after changing into more comfortable clothes. Eve knew work was not going to be fun today.

Alfred walked into the joint, it was a nice coffeehouse, that was energetic although very relaxing.
"Coffee black." He said, pounding bills on the table. He turned around, to spot a familiar face, fronted by a fashion magazine.
"I guess you really do like cafés!" He said, sauntering up to Megumi's booth.

Kagura3417

Megumi looked up to spot a familiar face coming up to her booth.
"Alfred! I can't believe you're here!" she cried out. "Here, come sit over here! What brings you here?"

He sat, facing her.
"Honestly? I just stopped over here because this place looked appealing." He said. "And you?" She'd piqued his interest.

Kagura3417

"Me? Well, I'm off today, so I decided to come out here for some fresh air," Megumi said. "And to read about what's in season right now." With a smirk, she pulled her magazine towards her.

March rolled over and stared groggily at her alarm before springing out of bed. She had overslept again, which was fast becoming an unhealthy habit. After speed showering and changing into her usual sports leggings and over-sized sweater she threw her knapsack over her shoulder and raced out the door of her small apartment. She turned the corner and headed into her favourite coffee shop.
"Hey, Lisa," she greeted the barista as she produced a wrinkled Abraham Lincoln from her wallet and ordered her usual. She pulled her wild curls back into a chaotic bun as she looked for a seat in the crowded cafe. The last open seat was across the table from a stranger reading a book.
"Thanks, love," she smiled as she received her latte. She maneuvered her way to the empty seat.
"Excuse me, may I sit here?" she asked the guy reading, pulling him away from his book.

Eve walked into the coffeehouse and up to the young girl at the register. "Just a straight black coffee please." she ordered, pulling out her credit card. After receiving her coffee, Eve walked to the couch closest to the wall of windows right by the entry. Pulling out her laptop to make some last minute edits to her journalism article before leaving for work. Satisfied with her piece after about 20 minutes, she closed her laptop and stood up from her chair.

(what is the weather like/ what season is it outside?)

Kagura3417

(The weather? It's sunny. I would say it's spring)

@LavenderOnATrain

(yay that's my favourite season. the season of new life)

"Day off? Sounds awesome." Alfred said, sipping his coffee. "Good for you."

@Andislee_Beau_Raven

Blake looked up to find a very pretty woman standing over the table "Um, yea sure by all means." he sat his book to the side and straitened up a bit "I'm Blake." he offered her his hand for a shake

Kagura3417

"Right," Megumi said. "If only every day were like this." She chuckled before taking a bite of her pastry, eyes darting from Alfred to her magazine to the blue sky outside.

"It feels really nice today," Megumi commented, before adding, "No drunkards here." She started to laugh, before sipping her coffee.
"Maybe I should go shopping, or at the very least go look at some clothes. It would be a waste not to."

"You're a fashion aficionado?" He asked, curiously.
She seemed like the type of person to be one.

Kagura3417

"Well, more like an addict," Megumi replied, laughing. "I work for a fashion firm. I'm actually a secretary. But it is really fun to be around clothes."
She slid the magazine towards him.
"You should take a look. You might find something you like."
Another grin, almost flirty in nature.

He chuckled, taking the magazine, he opened it to reveal mostly women's fashion, and a bit of men's. "I see what you mean." He said, catching her grin. "I was actually gonna go browse. There's a nice apparel store by my motel, I been meaning to check it out! Any chance you'd like to come with?"

Kagura3417

Megumi's grin grew bigger.
"By any chance… are you asking me out?"

"Depends on what you say?" He said, flirtily.
He sipped his coffee.

Kagura3417

Taken aback, Megumi's cheeks turned red. What had been an attempt to tease Alfred and lighten the mood had backfired on her. It was so obvious, she felt like an idiot.
But she needed to see this through.
She smiled. "I'd love to come with you."

"Alright, then." He said. "The place ain't far, it's over by that Panda Express, walking distance." He said, getting up. He left his mug there.
