Jay stayed beside her, still holding Leo. His face seemed almost set in stone, his eyes flicking around to keep watch for someone or something.

@gracehustle

"Is something wrong?" She asked as they neared their room, glancing over at him and seeing how serious he was.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay shook his head. "No. Just… anxious." He replied slowly, tugging on his hat to hide his hair again.

Delia nodded, stopping in front of their room and opening the door for him, "I'm sure we'll be fine, no one is going to figure out." She looked up at the few strands of hair that weren't hidden under his hat and thought for a minute, wondering if trying to dye his hair would be a good idea.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay shrugged slightly, carrying Leo inside and finally setting the puppy down. "Yeah. I hope so." he replied, holding the door for her and closing it once she was inside.

@gracehustle

She headed inside after him and sat down on her bed with a soft sigh, looking over at Jay and once again thinking about dying his hair a less noticeable color than the white it was now.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay let out a breath, sitting down on his own bed, a faint frown on his face.

@gracehustle

"What if we dyed your hair?" She asked, breaking the silence as she still focused on his hair, "I mean, we would need to find a box of dye, but that would help make you stand out a bit less."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay blinked. "Yeah, maybe." He agreed slowly. "But…I don't know if…"

@gracehustle

"It's worth a shot though right?" She asked again, persisting, "I mean, we would have to find dye first, but then it would help you blend in like you want to."

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Yeah." Jay agreed. "I just…I'm not sure."

@gracehustle

"Not sure about what?" Delia cocked her head to the side slightly, resting one of her arms back against the bed to prop herself up.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"I don't know." Jay shook his head a little. "I'm not sure about anything." He let out a quiet laugh.

@gracehustle

"I don't think any of us are sure of anything," She replied softly, laughing softly and shaking her head as well, "But hey, that's getting off topic."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay chuckled softly. "Yeah." He took off his hat for a moment, shaking his head a little.

@gracehustle

Delia looked up at his hair again and tried to picture him with darker hair, the image not fitting him as well in her mind. She liked his signature visible hair, but it most likely would have to go if he was to blend in. "So..yes to trying to dye it? Or..no?"

@ElderGod-Icefire

"I don't know." Jay replied. He didn't want to dye his hair, but he knew that it would be a good idea.

@gracehustle

"Well, it's up to you," She said, shrugging and looking around the bare room before asking, "Why did we come back here anyway?"

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay shrugged a little. "I uhm…I don't know. This room would be pretty defensible, though, so long as the walls aren't blown out."

@gracehustle

Delia nodded, unable to stop the small smile on her face, "So you were going for the most defendable place? You still worried they're going to attack again?"

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay shrugged a little. "Maybe." He replied, looking down at his hands. "I don't know."

@gracehustle

"Don't worry, we're safe here," She said, looking around and telling herself she believed the words. "I'm not sure where we could get our hands on some hair dye, but I'll ask around at dinner tonight."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay's eyes flashed. "Maybe so." He replied. "But maybe not." He petted Leo gently.

@gracehustle

"Hey, if we're not safe, I'll protect you," She replied, laying down on her bed and glancing over at Leo, who seemed to be happy snuggled up with Jay.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay laughed a little. "Thanks? But I uhm…don't think I really need you to?"

@gracehustle

"Too bad," She said with a shrug, grinning a little, "I'm gonna protect you anyway. Hit anyone who tries to attack or hurt you in the legs with my crutches, maybe use them as javelins and throw them at people."

@ElderGod-Icefire

He laughed. "Mm. Alright." he replied, shaking his head a little bit at her. "Thanks."

@gracehustle

Delia nodded and laughed, "You're welcome." Her smile stayed on her face and she glanced at him again, surprised that she had actually joked around with Jay but happy they were close.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jay smiled a little. "Yeah." He took a deep breath, standing and looking around the room carefully.

@gracehustle

She watched as he got up before she closed her eyes, surprisingly calm and not worried about the attack coming back again even though it probably would.
