Kaden walked into the apartment late at night. He had gotten off of work a lot later than he had expected. Several people hadn't shown up and he ended up doing their work on top of his. He hadn't gotten out until after ten and it was a twenty-minute drive home. He unlocked the door to the apartment. He dropped his bag next to the door and walked to the kitchen. He hadn't had anything to eat since lunch and he was starving. He opened the fridge, going through it, trying to find some leftovers to eat. He tried to keep quiet, he didn't want to disturb his husband.

Mart was sitting on the couch, playing a game on his phone while he waited for his husband. "You're late." He muttered, flicking the light on that was above his head. He raised an eyebrow at Kaden, he didn't get a text about it and he had been worried. "I was worried, Love." He said, standing up.

Kaden stepped back from the fridge. "And you should be asleep babe." He responded. He closed the fridge door and walked to his husband. He gripped Mart's shoulders and gently pushed him in the direction of their bedroom. "Go, I'll be there in a couple of minutes."

Matt stood his ground, arms crossed. "You didn't text me, I was worried." He repeated with a frown. He liked to know where his husband was, it helped his anxiety a bunch if he did. His frwn melted into a sad expression. "I thought something bad might've happened.

Kaden sighed. "I got held up at work that's all. I had a lot on my plate. Texting you just slipped my mind. It won't happen again. Now please, go to bed, I'll be there in a little bit." He just wanted to eat his food in peace. He just wanted to take a breather from all of his running around at work.
