An RP Idea That I Just Came Up With [OPEN!]
(Sure. To when?)
(Once Lucas is healed?)
(Okay)
Thatcher sat at the side of the bed as Lucas, now in full heath, bounced around the from doing random things.
"I never want to change into a dog ever again…" Human Lucas sighed, looking down at his hands. "I missed having opposable thumbs."
“I miss having sharp teeth.” Thatcher put in, feeling around for his k9 teeth.
"Mine stay sharp. Or perhaps that's a side effect of being a dog for so long."
“I do have to front ones, the ones that are me look like a vampire, but I miss the back ones.”
"Meh, I bite my tongue too often with those." Lucas stretched, crossing his legs on the bed.
“You need to have full control over you tongue then.”

“You’re alive!” Aaliyah squealed.
"Er, yes? I've been alive for a while, Ally."
“Oh shush and gimme a hug.”
"Fine." Lucas hugged Aaliyah, his ears swiveling around as though they were searching for something. This was a frequent habit, and he had been called 'Radar' before because of it.
"You should get married." Thatcher said out of the blue.
"No!" Lucas pulled away, a pink tint coming to his cheeks. "She's like my sister, there's no way I'd marry her!"
"They always say that!" He laughed, "How do you think my parents met each other!"
"Uh, in a lovely cafe with coffee and hot chocolate and when they saw each other they realized they were soulmates?" Lucas suggested.
"No, they we're all like 'Oh, she's like my sister I cant married her!" He said, mimicking a girl voice for some reason, "And then they got married the following year."
"I don't plan on marrying anyone, especially not Aaliyah."
"She's right here you know." He said, patting Aaliyah on the head, "And my dad said the same thing."
"I know she's right there! I doubt she wants to marry me either. I'm really not that great."
"What do you mean! You survived a dog attack! That's awesome!!" He exclaimed, "And plus, you have a super cool foster-ish father."
"Pfft, I barely survived. I got thrown into a tree and you had to take me to the vet. They're the ones who kept me alive."
"But you lived! A man that goes to war and comebacks broken in not called weak! He's called a hero! Just because he can no longer walk and doctors had to take care of him, that dose not mean he was weak and useless."
"Yeah, but I didn't even fight back! It was an accident that it even happened in the first place. The man who goes to war goes with the intention of fighting for his people, and that alone is considered valor. Getting spontaneously attacked for no cause rarely counts as bravery, particularly if you are easily defeated."
"Yeah, you're right. I was overdramatizing my speak there." He let out a breath, he said, "Fine, you are weak and cant even fight back! Why don't you watch where you're going? It doesn't even matter if you walking in the middle of a flat desert, you should always be on your guard. What do you think would happen if I was no there? You would be mauled to death! Who knows what! If you died the orphanage would blame me because you're always with me! I would be in jail and who knows what would happen to Aaliyah!"
Tears stung at Lucas's eyes and he looked away. He didn't respond. After all, Thatcher was right. If his weakness resulted in his death, Thatcher would be blamed. If Thatcher wasn't there at the attack, Lucas likely would have died. He should've been more attentive…
