"Our room is back here." Jem said, leading Denzel back to their room. There was a bookshelf and two beds, but otherwise it was bare.
He followed him, nodding. "Nice." He said

"So, uh, what's your major?" He said, awkwardly trying to make small talk
"Art." Jem said. "After I graduate, and once I have enough money I'd like to start an art program for teens." He shrugged. "What's your major?"
"Um, Biology. I've just always found life and stuff interesting." He said, rubbing a hand across the back of his neck
"Nice." He paused. "So like.. what do you do with that?"
"Well, um, it depends on what you plan on going into… I'm mainly doing bio engineering and health, so I can decide later."
"Nice." Jem grabbed a book from the shelf, skimming through the pages, and sat on his bed. "Do you need help unpacking?" He asked, not looking up from his book.
He shook his head, putting a bag on his bed and unzipping it.
"Okay." Jem said, looking up slightly from his reading, smiling as he watched Denzel unpack.

Jem blushed bright red after watching Denzel for a bit more, and floundered with his book, accidentally slapping it onto the floor.
He looked over. "You okay?" He asked, oblivious.
Jem scowled, still red in the face. "I'm fine." He ignored the book and flopped onto the bed, burying his face in the mattress to hide his blush. "Wake me up when I'm dead." He said, blushing even harder.
"I doubt that's possible, but I'll try." He said, going back to packing
Jem peeked at Denzel, and said, his voice muffled, "If you're hungry there's some snacks in the mini fridge."
"Thanks." He said politely, putting the last of his things away and leaving his medicine on the surface closest to his bed.
