(ok) "Shh, your fine. I just went to get a phone, don't worry," Joan kept mumbling nothings as she hugged him. She needed to find Will, needed to help find Patch, needed to get home. But this was more important, she needed to keep Nash safe. That's first and foremost. "You okay?" Joan asked once his breathing evened out again.

@Fraust

He nodded again and pulled away, looking up at Joan for further instruction. He didn't know where he was, or what he was doing, or why, but she probably did.

@@RileyAnn

"We're gonna go back to my place, you'll be staying there," Joan said; reading the question in his eyes. I need to find Will, soon.

@Fraust

"Y-yes ma'am." Nathaniel pulled himself to his feet, wincing a bit. He felt sore now as a result of the bruising.

@@RileyAnn

Joan notice and pulled him close again. "Hold on," She whispered before she flew out the window; toward her home.

@Fraust

Nathaniel clung to Joan, not too keen on falling out of the sky again any time soon. He watched the landscape go by for a bit before just closing his eyes. Seeing how fast they were moving made him nervous.

@@RileyAnn

Joan flung herself into a cocoon at the first arrow, dived at the second and landed at the third. She dragged Nash into the woods as their attackers continued to fire, "Run!" Joan screamed unnecessarily.

@Fraust

Nathaniel's eyes widened in fear, and his memory went back to the previous day where he had nearly died in a battle like this. His heart pounded as he held onto Joan's arm, running as fast as he could to keep up, fueled by adrenaline alone.

@@RileyAnn

Joan dove farther into the woods, finding a cave. Quickly shoving Nash into a tunnel, Joan pulled out her phone. She dialed her dad's number and spoke in latin, "Carpe cullom, luctor et emergo, hinc itur ad astra. Ex, ex, animo. ego te labore. Dwale, liber. Ex, ex. Intra!" Once her father knew what was going on, they were sucked through a portal into her room, with Nash. (BTW that's real latin. It means seize the neck, I struggle and emerge, from here the way leads to the stars. From, from, soul. I challenge you. Wonder, balance. From, from, within.)

@Fraust

Nathaniel was hyperventilating and shaking, clearly having no idea where he was or what was going on. He had lost count of how many times he could have died in the past couple of days.

@@RileyAnn

Joan pulled Nash behind her as her father ran into the room shouting questions. He was wearing his 'round house clothes-a ratty t-shirt and overalls- with his apron stating "Best Cook Ever". All and all he looked like a dork, reading glasses topping it off. "Dad," Joan drawled, "Your scaring Nash."

@Fraust

He definitely was. Nathaniel was already terrified, and now he was being interrogated? He cowered behind Joan, still hyperventilating.

@@RileyAnn

Lucifer stilled and plastered a huge grin on his face. "Nash? You brought a friend?" Joan mentally face palmed herself, "Yes dad," Was replied as she moved Nash out from behind her. "Be nice, he's thirteen and an Angel. One of the nicest I've ever met."

@Fraust

Nathaniel bowed shakily. "H-how do you do, sir." He was still trembling, and he hoped Lucifer didn't think he was terrified of him. That might bring across the wrong message.

@@RileyAnn

Lucifer picked him up for a hug and flew him around. "Nash-can I call you Nash?- It's so nice to meet you! Stay as long as you like-do your parents know?- who cares!" Joan's father continued his face pasted and joyful questions until, "Dad! You're embarrassing me! Put him down! He's scared to death!"

@Fraust

Nathaniel was unsure how to react, fear still muddling his thoughts and other emotions. He didn't know that the King of Hell enjoyed hugs…

@@RileyAnn

Lucifer soon dropped Nash, expecting him to fly. Joan had to rush up to her skyline ceiling to grab him. "Dad, he can't fly!" Joan yelled, angry. She sat Nash down into a nice chair and pulled on her dad's arm. "Stop it. I wanna be a little normal now, m'kay? I can't handle Nash being that scared. He's like a little brother. Anyway, I need to tell you about the men who attacked us."

@Fraust

Nathaniel focused on preventing himself from having a panic attack, clutching the arms of the chair and tried to slow his heart and breathing unsuccessfully.

@@RileyAnn

'Sorry dear," Lucifer replied, nodding to Nash. "How about I bring you those cookies I was making in the oven. Oh and Nash? Breathe, you won't have a panic attack if you breathe. Be right back!" He shouted as he left.
"My dad can read minds," Joan blurted. She walked across the spacious room and hugged Nash. "Calm down. Everything's fine. I guess here's good as anywhere. My dad seems to like you. Breathe," Joan rambled. Trying to make it better. "DAD!" She shouted again, "CALL SOMEONE TO BRING IN WILL HEARTMAN!"

@Fraust

He nodded and forced himself to take slower breaths to calm down. He eventually relaxed a bit, though his heart was faster than normal. He sat in silence, tapping his foot anxiously.

@@RileyAnn

Joan's dad did bring cookies. He left immediately after however to call Will mind to mind as only he could do. Joan only wanted Nash to calm down. "Have a cookie," She offered, nibbling one herself.

@Fraust

Nathaniel nervously took a cookie. "T-they are… normal cookies, r-right?"

@@RileyAnn

Joan laughed loudly, nearly falling over. "Of-of cou-course," She choked out. "My dad's a big teddy bear. I'm the only one who runs things anymore. All the scary stuff was in his teen years. Puh-lez, try the cookie."

@Fraust

He flushed a bit as though ashamed, but tried the cookie. "T-they're good." I mean, the question wasn't too outrageous. Who knew what cookies might be like in Hell?

@@RileyAnn

"STOP CALLING IT HELL!" Joan's father called from the next room.
"Really, Nash. Calling it hell? It's the underworld, and it's more beautiful and friendly than anything above. I'll show you sometime. But, hell?" Joan questioned.

@Fraust

"W-what? I didn't say anything!" He seemed scared again, definitely not wanting to be on Lucifer's bad side.

@@RileyAnn

"He can read minds. It gets him into a lot of trouble. Don't worry though, he's only looking at you so closely is because your new and I brought you here. No one's been here on my watch before, these are our private corridors. Your room will be two rooms down the hall at the end of the tower, if that's okay?" Joan asked softly.

@Fraust

Nathaniel nodded, making sure that he'd be careful what he was thinking while he was here. He stood and politely waited for instruction. For his whole life, he tried to do as he was told, and not ask for much. It was just a way of life. He was a follower, never the leader.

@@RileyAnn

Joan was not ready for this change in attitude. "Ugh," She sighed, "Stop being so closed off, m'kay? Think what you want, say what you want, ask what you want. Stop freezing up," Joan threw her hands into the air. "No one's gonna judge you, your free here. No rules, no laws-well, except to leave me and my dad alone but you don't have to worry about that- and no criminals!" She shouted, doing a little happy dance-she was only nineteen after all.
