Jason nodded then light up with excitement when he got an idea. “What if I were to teach you Korean? It’s such a basic language.”

"Oh my god, that would be so cool!" Nate grinned, thinking about how this would give him a reason to spend more time with Jason.

@Sugar-Lover

“Lesson one: you could use daebak to express your excitement.” Jason laughed a little at Nate’s excitement.

"Daebak!" Nate shouted down the hall. "I'm gonna be using that a lot from now on."

@Sugar-Lover

“Yea, you do that.” Jason followed behind Nate laughing. “I’ll give you a new word tomorrow.”

"Daebak!" Nate responded enthusiastically with a huge grin on his face. He couldn't wait for tomorrow, but he was hoping he'd see Jason at some point again today.

@Sugar-Lover

“You seem to really like that word.” Jason laughed. “If you bring paper and a pen to lunch I can teach you how to write it.”

(shoot, I forgot they had lunch together for a minute there XD)
"Yes! Can you teach me another word at lunch too?" Nate asked, really wanting to learn more words. He found that the words were fun to say.

@Sugar-Lover

“Is there a category you want or something? Because picking a random word is really hard to narrow it down.” Jason smiles at how excited Nate was.

"I dunno." Nate shrugged and laughed, "Just teach me your favorite words."

@Sugar-Lover

Jason thought for a minute, a small list starting to form in his head. “I’ll teach you my favorite Korean words to say. That’ll be fun.”

"Great! I can't wait! Daebak!" Nate grinned and repeated the new word he'd learned. "This is gonna be so much fun!"

@Sugar-Lover

“Can’t wait. I’ll write down my list so I don’t forget it.” Jason frowned, as they had approached the stair case. “It looks like we’re going to be late if we don’t hurry up.”

"I guess your right. I'll see you later at lunch." Nate waved and walked down the stairs to his math class.

(Time skip?)

(yeah, otherwise it'd be pretty boring for a little while…XD)

Jason walked into the crowded cafeteria, happy to see Nate again. He hoped in the long line that, trying to decide what to get.

Nate walked through the cafeteria, looking for a place to sit with the rest of his band. They found an empty table and he saved a chair for Jason as he set his tray down.

@Sugar-Lover

Jason decided on something simple, pizza. After he checked out at the end of the line he skimmed the crowd looking for Nate. He located Nate sitting with a couple of other guys. He went over to their table.

Nate waved at Jason as he walked over and gestured to the empty chair next to him. "Hey, Jason! Long time, no see." He laughed.

@Sugar-Lover

Jason took a seat next to Nate. “Hey! Are you ready for another word?” Jason places his tray down on the table.

"Hells yeah!" Nate grinned and pulled out a pencil and a piece of paper so he could write it down.

@Sugar-Lover

“How about I show you how to write daebak first?” Jason took the pencil and paper and wrote down ‘대박’ on the paper.

Nate followed Jason's instructions, but it didn't look quite the same. "Wait…what did I do wrong?" He asked with a laugh.

@Sugar-Lover

Jason looked at the paper with a laugh. “How did you get that wrong?” Jason wrote it again, but this time slower, showing Nate exactly how to write each letter. “So the first letter is ‘ㄷ’, it makes a ‘D’ sound. You would write it to take the whole space between the lines.” Jason knew the stacking was Nate was probably getting confused. “Second letter is ‘ㅐ’ and it makes an ‘ae’ sound. And since there is nothing being stacked under it, it also takes up the space between the lines.”

Nate followed all of Jason's instructions carefully, not wanting to mess up that badly again. "What did I end up writing anyways?" He asked, hoping he was at least close to the word he was trying to write.

@Sugar-Lover

“What you wrote wasn’t actually a word. It was more of scribbles.” Jason chuckled a little. He wrote out the rest of the word. “This is where it gets tricky. Not we’re going to stack some letters. This letter,” he pointed to the ‘ㅂ’, “makes a ‘B/P’ sound. Write it so it takes up the top half of the line because you’ll need to write another letter below it.” Jason then pointed to the ‘ㅏ’. “This letter makes an ‘ah’ sound. Write it next to the ‘ㅂ’, also taking up the top half. The final letter makes a ‘g’ sound. Sorta like the word gun. Now this letter goes under the other two that we left space for.”

Nate continued to follow Jason's instructions and it looked a little more like it was supposed to this time. "How about now? Is this what it's supposed to look like?" He asked, getting excited over the fact that he might have done it correctly this time.

@Sugar-Lover

Jason nodded. “Yes. Now you just need to work on the penmanship, but it’s written correctly. Do you want your next word?”

"Yes! I did it!" Nate shouted and proudly showed the rest of the people sitting at the table. "What's my next new word?" He asked, turning back to Jason with a huge grin.
