Sammi paused, stuck for a moment. He didn't have a good excuse. "No reason," he said finally, shrugging. He didn't elaborate.

Silene laughed. "So, you just randomly decided to go to church today?"
Her face suddenly became serious. "Is something wrong?" She tried to sense his emotions.

"No," he said immediately. She was looking at him funny. "Nothing's wrong. What could possibly be wrong?"

She shook her head. "Sorry, it's just that some people only go to church when something bad happens." She walked down a few steps. "Forget I asked."

"Okay…" What just happened? "Oh yeah…" he said, starting after her. "What did you do with that girl? The one that just barged in…?"

(just pretend I drove her home r somethin.)

"She was really confused, the same thing has been happening to her." Silene reached for her car keys "I gave her my number and drove her home."

"Oh," he said, feeling like an idiot. He had nothing else to say now. "Bye."

"Okay, see ya. I guess." Silene went down the last few steps and walked to her car. Why did Sammi come here? She wondered.
"God bless." She said sarcastically as she opened the door.

"Yeah," he said absently, not really paying attention.

Silene rolled her eyes and pulled down her sunglasses from her head. She put her other earbud in before starting the engine. She shook her head and turned off the engine. Silene looked at Sammi.
"Why are you really here?"

"No good reason. Just bored, I guess."

"So out of all places; the movies, a park, a friends house. You go to a church?"

"Nothing you should know," he said quietly.

She felt fear radiating off Sammi. "Is something bad going to happen?" Silene looked at him worriedly.
