" I got hurt because of the man hidden in the bush, neither of us would have seen him. " kaisly corrected, giving his knight a stern look

" not entirely," he said turning and walking away, he was ready to relax but he had a party tonight. His father had arranged a dance of sorts, so he needed to look formal and pretty

" it matters to me, " kaisly mumbled, getting undressed. His father said he was no longer allowed to change alone, at risk for a secret killer.

" nope," he said and chuckled, putting on his best clothes. " does this look okay?"

Kaisly smiled softly " thank you.." he mumbled softly.
Kaisly walked over to Derek and hugged him " it was never you're fault, don't you for a second blame yourself.." he said sternly but softly
Kaisly let go and looked up at Derek " you are a great knight. The best even"

Kaisly smiled, walking away as he went downstairs for her party

Kaisly mostly walked in silence, his head running with thoughts all over the place

Kaisly's cheeks turned a soft shade of red, his eyes darting toward the ground, “ it is the last dance I'll have before I become king in the spring next year, and I wish not to dance it with anyone else than you, the sun who lights up my world..” he said in a voice just barely above a whisper. He didn't want this conversation to echo on the walls, and give the maids something to gossip about. “ father said I should find someone to lay with by the end of this ball.. But I already knew who I wanted to before it begun.. It's only a matter of if you'll have me.” he paused for a moment “ and I do not want you thinking of me as the Prince in you're decision. Right now I am like anyone else. No one of importance. No is an option..” he said softly
