"No!" Evelyn was in pain but didnt stop. She takes sharp turns to try and lose the mob. Eventually the find themselves at the gate. Evelyn stops quickly. Mummy stumbles and falls and she runs to him

(Gate to the palace?)

(Yeah. Or door… I dont know what the building is set up like so…)

Alysha quickly opened the gate with a hidden key and pushed the girl and her dog through. "Come on, hurry!"

"Eh?" Was all Evelyn could say. She had scooped up Mummy and was carrying him quickly though the gate

"Here, follow me," Alysha orders. She leads the way through the corridors. Calls of "Your Majesty!" echoed off of the marble from every direction. Alysha didn't stop walking. She entered a room and guided Evelyn through. She entered after her, shutting the door.
"Your Majesty, I- Oh!" A young maid was frozen mid-curtsey, seeing the state of things.
"Jovie, take care of our guest first, please," the queen instructed.
"Yes, Your Majesty," Jovie said. She hesitantly approached Evelyn. "Um… hello miss."

Evlyn yelps and jumps away, holding Mummy so close to her he yelps with the pain of his pulled hind leg muscle

Jovie flinches. "I-I-I'm sorry!"
Alysha puts her palm on the dog and sends calming waves through its body. She looks at Evelyn. "This is Jovie, my personal maid. Please calm down. You're completely safe here."

"Am I though?! I just tried to kill you!" Evelyn yanks Mummy away from the queen, "And what did you just do to my dog?!"

Alysha backs up sharply. "I calmed him down. And what do you mean, you just tried to kill me?"

"Well… I just needed your blood on the knife… Like I said back at the street…" Evelyn sets Mummy down and crouches next to him

"Is there anything you need?" Jovie whispered.

Evelyn looks up at Alysha, "I have no idea…"

"Whose side are you on?" Alysha asked, fed up with all of the confusion.
"I'll get some things for your cuts, Your Majesty," Jovie offered quietly.

"That depends. I do what I have to to survive. My mission from that man was to kill you for one thousand gold pieces. I have never killed before. You weren't going to be my first."

"I'm flattered. Do you need money?"

Evelyn shakes her head, "There's no point now… Im going to be dead by tomorrow night…"

"Not if I have anything to say about-"
The noise fills her ears. Her voice cuts off and her face freezes with an expression that she looks like she just got slapped.
"Hello again, dear sister."
"You may want to lock down the palace now."
"Because we're coming."
"Our sisterly love made us want to tell you."
"But we promise that we will leave absolutely no survivors."
"Even your little friend. Whose name you don't even know."
The fuzziness disappears in an instant and she gasped, moving again.

Evelyn saw Alysha sway slightly and bounds tp her feet, steadying her, "Maybe you should relax."

She looks at Evelyn with a calm gaze, but her eyes were panicked. "Get Jovie." (She went out to get medical stuff, btw)

(Ok.)
"Huh? Why."

"Please?" Alysha pleaded. Her fist was right at her side with a ball of fabric from her dress clenched inside. "I'll explain later."

'Wha-. Huh?" evelyn stands, racing out of the door. It was a quite impressive scene. Her armor flashes as she sprints through the castle, yelling, "JOVIE!"

Jovie jumped at the sound of her name echoing off of the castle interior. She looked around and saw Evelyn. "Y-Yes?"

Evelyn literally skids and crashes into the wall, "Ow! I dont know! But the queen needs you. Sorry I just felt like running and yelling." Her hair was swept back by her speed

Jovie flinches when Evelyn crashes. "A-Are you okay?"

"What? Yeah Im fine. the queen isnt though. It sounded urgent." When Evelyn had left, Mummy had tried to get up to follow but had yelped in pain fell to the ground

Jovie paled almost instantly. "Oh-no… Hurry, we have to get back to her!"

Alysha sighed. "Calm down. Here, this will help." She put her hand on the dog's leg where she'd noticed him limping earlier. Power and healing flowed through her into the animal.

Mummy jerked himself up and trots to the door, his ears perked up.

Evelyn nods, "I got lost. You'll have to lead the way." She says it so deadpanned it was almost laughable
