EJ walked down to the kitchen, carefully so as to not hurt Daze any more than he already had, and once they were there he flung open the freezer. "Do you want like actual ice or a bag of peas or what?"

Jack frowned a little, at both Daze and a noise he had heard from the stairs. He knew how most people in the house walked those stairs, and those feet were not familiar in the slightest. Furthermore, most people knew where the creaks were and purposely avoided them… Did they have an intruder in the house??? As much as he wanted to find out, Daze's well-being was his priority at the moment—unfortunately. He grabbed a couple of ice cubes from the ice tray and held them over the bruise on Daze's arm. "Any better?"
Ben had also heard the creak on the stairs and was more than intrigued to find out just who was walking up them. He spun around the corner, a slight spring in his step. A look of confusion crossed his eyes when he found the person on the stairs. He didn't recognise them to be any of the proxies that had just been taken in, so who on earth was he? "You lost buddy?" he asked the figure with claws.

"It's not a matter of power, it's a matter of who is more clever." A snarl curled up in the corner of Ben's lips, looking the guy up and down. "It is all well and good having the power, but if you are not wise with what you do with it then it shall be your own downfall." He never liked people who thought they were better than him. He knew he wasn't the strongest or most powerful person alive, but when someone boasted about the power they had, it flew up red flags immediately. "And I think it would be wise for you to answer to me, since you are a mere newbie. Keep your narcissism under wraps, respect the originals, and keep your head down. That is the only way you're going to survive here."

Ben scoured the entire house, looking into every unlocked room, every closed box, but still he couldn't find that guy!
He kicked the wall in front of him, leaning out of the window in defeat. That's when he notcied a figure sat among the trees. It's him!
"Why can't you just be semi-normal for a moment and actually talk to me?" Ben popped next to the guy, crackling could still be heard in his voice, but it wasn't as harsh as it was before. "Just tell me who you are."
