"I used to think that before too, but it's honestly horrible. Especially when you know someone is waiting for you to come home everyday."
"For a lot of it, I didn't have anyone there waiting…. they didn't even know…" Arthur tensed as memories came back,
"Well, you do now." Mikhail muttered, trying to comfort him.
Arthur leaned into Mikhail's arms, trying to block out screams of pain, his own, and his brother's as they rang in his ears.
Mikhail didn't say anything and hugged him tighter. "You okay?" He asked quietly.
"It wasn't….. A nightmare….." Said Arthur shakily… "It was memories…" he tensed as a faint, bloodcurdling howl rang in his ears, along with someone yelling for others to run.
"It's okay." Mikhail murmured comfortingly, gently rubbing his back.
Arthur tensed, tears coming as he tried to force the sounds of fighting out of his ears.
Mikhail stayed like that, letting him cry if he wanted to.
Arthur leaned into Mikhail, really needing something to drown out the clashing of blades and the hiss of magic, as memories flooded his mind.
Mikhail kept rubbing his back comfortingly, hoping he wasn't making anything worse.
Finally the torrent stopped, Arthur relaxed a little, trembling a little.
Mikhail glanced at him when he relaxed a bit. "Feeling better now?"
"No.." said Arthur quietly…
"Oh, okay then…" Mikhail murmured.
"i don't think I'm ever gonna be ok…." Said Arthur, burying his face into Mikhail's shoulder.
"You will be, I promise." Mikhail replied, letting Arthur do whatever he wanted to do.
Arthur finally pulled away, feeling awkward and drained, looking away he stumbled to the couch curling into himself.
Mikhail glanced at the clock, realizing the hospital was going to release his dad today. "I-um-actually have to go get my dad."
(Isn't this around the part where Mikhail get's kidnapped?)
(Kidnapped? I kinda don't remember that… but sounds like fun!!)
Arthur watched him for a moment.. "Yeah.. I'll be ok… you go…" he said quietly.
(Lol that's what it says in the prompt)
"Sorry, I'll be back soon." Mikhail apologized, quickly going upstairs to change into some decent clothes then quickly heading out the door.
(Like I said, I forgot about that part!)
Arthur nodded watching as he left.

Mikhail closed the door behind him as he walked to the hospital, feeling happy that the hospital finally decided to release his dad.
Arthur curled up more on the couch, half wishing Mikhail had stayed, but knowing that he couldn't keep him.
Mikhail quickly made it to the hospital and told the nurse his dad's name, the nurse directed him to a room and he saw his father smiling at him from the bed. "Hey, dad."
Arthur sighed after awhile, rolling onto the floor and sprawling on the ground to look at the ceiling.
George asked Mikhail to come over and he obliged, sitting down in a chair next to George's bed. "I missed you." George mumbled, gently caressing his face. Mikhail chuckled and kissed his forehead. "I missed you too, idiot."
Well, someone fell in love and now he doesn't know what to do hmm?
"Unless you have advice, shut up, and leave me alone." replied Arthur, aloud.
Be careful, if someone walks in on you they'll think you're crazy.
"How's it going with Arthur?" George asked, ruffling Mikhail's hair and let his hand rest beside him. Mikhail looked around awkwardly. "Well, you see. We're kind of in a relationship….."
"So? I'm already crazy" said Arthur,
Yes but you don't want to scare off your new boyfriend…
