Nat checked her guns. Loaded.
"Heya guys!" Elozaswings over them, landing crouched beside them, "What's happening?"
(Can one of the bad guys see Nat and go after her?)
"These assholes broke in, and are trashing shit." Kiania explained, her voice almost like a growl of sorts somehow. One of the intruders split from trying to attack her, spotting Nat and heading for her.
Eliza's senses pulse as she starts running into the fray. She flocks two into her webs and flips over another two, hoisting all three, struggling, into the air
Nat's eyes widened and ideas flashed through her mind. They were getting closer. She began to run.
Eliza strings a few more up before calling out, "Hey, Nat! You doing ok over there?" The moment she let her guard down one smacks her in the head with his fist, sending her flying into the wall
"Eliza!" Nat yelled. Her persuer grabbed her by the back of her collar and threw her to the ground.
Eliza chokes but recoils back with a double kock that sent the attack stumbling back. She then turns to the intruder attacking Nat. She leaps on his back, hooking her arm around his neck in a choke hold, "Need help?" She grunts
Kiania muttered a string of curses in multiple languages, knowing she was running out of energy. So, in a last ditch attempt at finishing this, she went on the offensive, half hand to hand and half thermal blasts. A knife to the gut didn't stop her, instead seemed to spur her on as she compartmentalized that for later to deal with.
Nat's head was spinning. "Yeah," she mumbled, sounding tired.
"Ok hang on." Eliza snarls, using all her weight to force the guy away but that just resulted in him smashing her repeatedly into the wall. Now, in the first time she was thrown her mask had split. Part of it cracking completely off to reveal her left eye and the corner of her mouth. Her head slams into the wall repeatedly now and she crumples, stands of her hair falling in her face.
The pursuer falls to the ground motionless
Nat shoved herself up and crawled over to Eliza. "Eliza," she whispered.
"Get her mask off. Check her head." Kiania instructed, as another intruder hit the ground, leaving two more in the room to decide she was the most important target.
Nat careful did as told, though not liking the orders from the other girl.
Artemis drew herself up off the floor, and a pained grin spread across her face at the sight of the other two. “Thank you so very much for coming,” she said. “And Kiania, I’m quite sorry I became your responsibility here. I drained far too much of my power at once, but it seems like you had more than enough power to spare.” She turned, noticing the two goons left. “I can take one,” she managed. “I’m not that incompetent.”
Nat stood up and her gun was instinctively in her fingers. She might not have powers like the other two, but she was one hell of a shot.
Eliza was still motionless and slumped over against the wall. The back of her head was bleeding profusely. The broken helmet had dug into her scalp as she was shoved into the wall
Darting forward, Artemis smacked her staff across an intruder’s knees, and lunged back as he swiped at her. With an undignified yell, she cracked her staff over his head and he crumpled, unconscious. She stepped back from the body, and noticed the bloodstain spreading out from Kiania’s stomach, and Eliza slumped against the wall. She cursed loudly, and ran for the hallway that led to the first aid room.
Nat breathed heavily and leaned against the wall beside Eliza. "Oh my God," she whispered.
Still no movement from the girl but the blood seeping from her hair was coming more and faster
"Someone!" Nat yelled. "Help!" She watched Eliza worriedly, not wanting to make anything worse.
Artemis ran back with a first aid kit. “Steven taught me some basics,” she said as a way of explaining. She sat Eliza up, and probed the wound on the back of her head. Picking up some alcohol wipes, she cleaned the blood away from the cut. “The cut isn’t very big, but it needs to be closed. I’m going to stitch her up, and I need you to to try and see if she is awake.”
"You need to keep her awake, too." Kiania commented, slumping against the wall near them as she regained her normal appearance. Draining herself wasn't fun, but it had been necessary.
Eliza was still limp, eyes closed but she did respond to the alcohol wipes. She had flinched
“Good news! Eliza is going to be okay,” said Artemis as she finished the stitches. “When she wakes up, though, she is going to need to drink a fair amount of water. Nat, if you would be so kind, the kitchen is down the hall.” She turned to Kiania. “I’m going to sew you up now as well, as knife wounds without knives in them tend to bleed profusely.”
"A little blood never hurt nobody." Kiania said casually, waving her off. It was, in itself, an entirely ridiculous statement, especially considering Artemis was right. The blood hadn't spread, as she wasn't wearing a long enough shirt for it to, but it was making it's way fairly quickly down her front and to the ground.
“Saying no to stitches is not an option here. You got stabbed trying to protect me, and now I am going to do my darndest to fix it, yes? Okay.” Artemis said firmly. She felt terrible that people had gotten hurt when she should have been able to deal with the intruders herself.
"Alright, alright." Kiania held up a hand in surrender, showcasing what were definitely going to be bruised knuckles. "Y'know this ain't my first fight, right?"
“I figured that from the fact you have a knife on your person as well as superpowers, but I know from experience that untreated knife wounds infect quite easily, and that is not ideal here.” She cleaned off the needle and prepared her thread. “I’m very sorry about this,” she said as she began cleaning off the wound. “This is all my fault. If I could handle a couple of mooks without guns-“ she paused suddenly. “Why didn’t they have guns? That seems odd.”
