"Are you two alright?" Kiania asked, raising an eyebrow as she looked around the clearing. Her hand slipped into her jacket, resting in the pocket, gripping her knife.

Eliza snarls, "Deer. Sorry about that." She whispers

“I tend to be a bit… twitchy when it comes to potential attacks. I apologize as well.”
"And here I was thinkin' it'd be a good idea to be on guard when the people with heightened senses were." Kiania joked, looking as relaxed as ever as she released her knife.
Eliza was still staring at the trees. It wasnt just her mind, "Barnes…" she hisses, only sensing what she did near Bucky Barnes
“Barnes? As in James Buchanan Barnes? Or perhaps his son? My goodness, I am terrible with names, as I can’t seem to remember his.”
"What?" Eliza looks over at her but her senses where still on high alert. She shakes her head.
“Well, I mean, he does have a son, right? There was some kind of accident involving a wife and daughter, but the son survived, I believe.”
She stares at her for a moment, "Uh… right…?" She looks to the side, toward the forest again
"How many damn Avengers are in the woods today?" Kiania muttered, tugging a hand through her hair as she scanned the edge of the clearing.
“Not enough, I think. These woods will be crawling in Avengers before I believe there are enough,” Artemis said in a deadpan tone.
Eliza turns toward the forest and without a word starts walking toward the edge of the trees. Her mask eyes never blinking
Adrik had been zoning out as he went down the path, but suddenly he snapped out of it when he realized there was a small group down the path. A little bit of anxiety kicked in now–he wanted to keep going down the path, but he didn't exactly want to go all the way through or around the group
Eliza walks briskly. Her senses almost over riding the voice of Karen in her ear.
“Eliza, are you alright?” Artemis called. She began to follow her, but turned back towards Blaze. “I’m afraid that we might need some backup. Mind coming along? I hate to be a bother.”
Kiania nodded, already starting off after Eliza. "I've got nothing better to do." She hadn't spotted Adrik yet, her focus mainly on the other girl.
“Your thoughts echo mine.” She strode forward quickly to catch up with Eliza, scanning her surroundings. Her eyes landed on Adrik, and she held her staff loosely at her side.
"All I see is Bucky…" she blinks a few times behind her mask, "What the hell." She shakes her head as her senses over ride her brain
Kiania caught up to them, draping an arm over Eliza's shoulders, her grip just a bit too tight to be all that casual. She was more holding her in place, keeping her from doing something stupid. "That ain't the Winter Soldier." She said, finally catching sight of Adrik.
“Eliza, are you alright?” Artemis asked, gripping her staff more tightly. She looked up at Adrik.
“Hello there! I’m afraid you’re causing my friend some confusion. Would it be too much trouble for you to give us your name?”
Her mask eyes where covered in mud and dirt and she couldnt see a thing. She stops in her tracks at the touch of the other, raising her head slightly.
Kiania reached into one of her many jacket pockets, pulling out a yellow bandana. She reached up, using it to wipe away as much mud from Eliza's mask as she could. "See?"
Artemis wasn’t very good at offering comfort, and it seemed like the other girl had it covered. Still, she lightly touched Eliza’s arm in what she hoped was a calming gesture. “Whatever you’re seeing, I don’t think it’s what’s in front of us right now. Follow my voice.” She whispered.
Eliza sighs, "I can sense things. And now I can see. Yes. Thank you. And now I see he isnt Bucky. So I'm sorry." She snaps back, slightly frustrated with herself for getting it mixed up.
“It’s completely understandable. You have plenty of ability, far more than most others, and that’s difficult to wield a lot of the time.”
"One time, while drunk, I mistook my best friend for Zac Efron." Kiania said, relaxing her hold on Eliza's shoulders after giving her a supportive squeeze. "He literally looks nothing like the guy, but hey."
Eliza snorts slightly but smiles, nodding. She waves to the boy, "Sorry about the confusion."

Adrik looked like a deer caught in the headlights, and for a brief moment, he panicked. Suddenly, without thinking, he spun on his heels to start walking away briskly. Sure, now he was going to have to walk a whole mile again just to avoid those people, but it was well worth it
