Avengers Second Generation {CLOSED}

Kerenza holds Meg with worry. "Meg they need you. I need you. Please…"

Meg put her head in her hands. “No,” she said quietly. “They don’t.”

"You could have helped her. And you know it."
"Kelly…" Strange's words dried up on his tongue.
"No. You knew that you could have and you didn't, which makes you a coward."
"Kelly-"
Kelly held up her hand quickly. "Stop. Don't even try to explain. You easily could have helped her and you didn't." She spat the words onto his feet, where they glued him to the floor. "You knew that you could have helped her!" She began to yell.

Kerenza's head snaps out at Kelly's yells. "Meg…"

"You knew," she sneered. "And what did you do? NOTHING!" Her anger is wet now, hot tears building behind her eyes.

Kerenza stood up and ran, hugging Kelly tightly from behind. "It's not his fault."

Kelly turned and hugged Kerenza tightly, letting her tears spill onto her friend's shoulder.

Kerenza hugs Kelly, running a hand through her friends hair calmly. "Kelly it's not his fault"

"Then whose?" she asked quietly. Her mind came up with a quick answer: Yours.

"Kelly…it's my fault…I'm the one who took her back to Castor's layer…"

"No, it's not. Don't ever blame it on you," Kelly whispered. "If we hadn't… if I hadn't been so stupid to even love him in the first place…"

"You can't stop your heart from loving someone…" Kerenza whispers, remembering her own mistakes.

Kelly sighed. "So it's no one's fault. Agreed?"

Keremza nods.

Peter was slumped over his daughter's body, sobbing and still trying to wake her up

Meg stayed in the hallway, shaking, but the tears wouldn’t come.

Kerenza holds Kelly.

Kelly just cried. It was her fault, it was! She cried until she had no tears left to give. Even then, she whimpered.

Meg stayed quiet. She also stayed in the hallway. (Yay. Idk what to do.)

Kerenza whispers, holding Kelly then looking over at Strange.

Strange knelt beside Peter, trying to console him.

Kerenza pulls away from Kelly slightly. "Come…let go to the roof…"

Kelly nodded and spoke, her voice cracked, "Meg too."

"I'll go get her."

Kelly nodded again. She leaned on the wall heavily for support and wouldn't look at her father.

Kerenza goes to where Meg was sitting. "Meg…"
