"Know what, forget I said anything," Sacia said hurriedly before the silence could go on too long. She hated silence. She'd too anything to fill an empty space. "Want me to tell you why I broke that one guy's nose?"
"That would be nice," Zanna attempted to act normal.
"Okay, so, he was all on Tasper," she explained, her words tumbling over each other in their haste to break the awkwardness, "like, just bothering him. Wouldn't leave him alone. And Tasper's such a good kid, you know, but he's like so ready to fight when necessary. I didn't want him expelled or anything, and I'd been dying to just pounce on this kid. So one day in the cafeteria I literally snapped and knocked his tray out of his hands. Then I punched him."
"Sounds like he deserved it!" Zanna felt a bit better.
Sacia nodded. "He did. The school didn't agree, though."
Zanna laughed, "The school never agrees."
"I hate school," Sacia said viciously. "Especially this one."
"I wouldn't even call this a school," Zanna scoffs, "It's a prison basically."
Sacia nodded enthusiastically. "Exactly! Last year there was this girl who came out as bisexual, and no one saw her for months. Then all of a sudden she reappears, saying she's cured. I don't know what they did to her."
"Seriously?" Zanna jaw dropped. This was going to be a challenge as an open lesbian.
She made a face. "Yeah. Literally, if you're not 100% straight, don't tell anyone. Ever."
"And I'm dead," Zanna flopped on the bed covering her face.
Oooh, she's not straight, Sacia couldn't help but think. She shoved that thought away. "I know, right? It's terrifying. One slip up and it's off to isolation or wherever the hell that bi girl went."
Zanna began to silently scream, "I need to get out of here."
"Honestly, same." Sacia sighed.

Vaughn picked at his nails and tossed the book onto the floor. He ran a hand over his face, huffing sharply. He was in a bored mood, but he couldn’t talk to anyone. He had gotten the recognition of being a very violent person, so most tended to avoid him.

Paige jolted awake, unaware that she had fallen asleep. She shook her head, disappointed in herself. She tucked her silver necklace under her top so it couldn't be seen as she slipped out of her room and into one of the main hallways. I am going to get so lost here…
