"They sell for MAD cash here. Candy is basically forbidden unless you're a teacher's pet and they give it to you–But to be a teachers pet, you basically have to kiss up all the time, so yeah, no–Cough drops are the closest thing to candy around here. I once saw a guy sell four cough drops for twenty bucks. If you want an easy leg up into the hierarchy, cough drop dealing is the way to go. They won't touch you if you've got 'em." Ayleen brought up her legs and sat on the chair with her legs crossed underneath her. She was beginning to enjoy the company of this newcomer.

"It's my second year," Augustine replied quickly. It wasn't a sensitive subject, just awkward to talk about Hardly anyone knew why she was even here, and she liked it to remain that way.

Patagonia eventually wandered into the cafe and, seeing Zane all alone, beelined to sit next to him.

Zane glanced over and saw Patagonia, "Hi."

"Really. You can sell them like drugs around here? Dalton said suddenly interested.

"Totally. And it's completely above board since there are no school rules against cough drop possession or selling cough drops either." Ayleen smirked, producing a couple cough drops from her over-sized hoodie pockets and twirling them around in her hand.

"I have a bag of them in here!" Dalton smiled. That was the longest sentence and first genuine smile he had since his arrival.

"Oho!" Ayleen cracked a grin. "You're in business, boy." Putting the drops back into her pockets, she sat up straighter, a new idea forming in her head. "You know what? During lunch, sit with me. Anyone who comes to buy from me can get their fix from you instead. It'll stop those guys from breathing down my back about my next shipment for a while, and you can get some easy cash. Whadd'ya say?"

Dalton looked at her, "Sounds like a plan!"

Ayleen smirked. "Perfect." As she glanced at the clock on the wall, she stood to leave. "Well, that's my cue. Got a private class I need to be at. Talk to ya later, Dalton." Ayleen nodded at Dalton with a somewhat friendly smirk before exiting the room, her footsteps echoing down the hall behind her.
(Alright. That's gonna be it for me for today. I'll be gone most of tomorrow, so I made my character leave so Dalton isn't just stuck there for a day. ^-^ See you all later!)
