(Okay, just asking because I think our characters might be the only ones)
Butterfly Effect (Time Travel RP, OPEN)
Anyone here?
(I am but… I dont know what to write)
(Hi.)
Name: Emil Voll
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Pan
Race/Ethnicity: German
Appearance: Shoulder length wavy black hair, pulled back into a ponytail. Dark brown eyes. Pretty lanky bony build, 5'9". 121 lbs. He usually dresses in a white button-up shirt, black slacks, and dress shoes, and occasionally he'll have a white lab coat on.
Personality: He's a pretty serious dude when he is at work. Otherwise, he's pretty chill, really aloof. He is basically a physics fanboy and if you ever say "wormhole", he'll probably die. But in a happy way.
Role in RP (physicist, time traveler, warrior, etc): Physicist
Backstory: He was an exchange student from Germany during high school for two years. While here, he developed his love of physics and just science in general. He later moved from Munich, Germany, to New York City to study physics. He needed money in America since he was financially on his own, turning towards a low-budget lab as a part time job.
Skills: He is a German genius. He's pretty mentally quick and he really enjoys exploring possibilities. Also, he is fluent in German and very good at English.
Other: He owns a pigeon named Tafel
(I can start if everyone's ready)
(Sorry that took a while)
(Alright!)
Dara's eyes glistened as she stared down at her lab notes. She had listed a few times –7:34, 8:53, 9:46…all throughout the night, power surges of electromagnetic energy. She didn't know how to explain it. She looked over at the other two physicists in the lab, her eyes narrowing. "Did you see this?" she demanded, not bothering to explain what she meant.
((I'm here ^^))
Erza 'struts' down the street (How far back can the 'time-travel' thing go?) She looks around at the high buildings around her. Her red ponytail swishing behind her
Artemis swiveled around in her chair, leaning over to look at Dara's notes. She knew that she wasn't supposed to be looking at things like that without permission, but she didn't really care. It's not like they could fire her. Where would they find another time traveler?
"See what?" She said.
Libra turns around in a swivel chair to look at Dara's notes, completly confused. "What do you mean," she asks, trying to decipher the noted times.
"The energy surges," Dara replied shortly, angling the paper so that Artemis could see. "Although, I wasn't asking you."
(So how far can the time-travel thing go back?)
Emil turned around to see the notes that Dara was holding up. His eyes quavered slightly as he read through the notes. "Th-The times," he stuttered, feeling his eyes almost grow a little moist. "They don't line up. What demonic creature would do such a thing?"
"Maybe somebody is screwing with the powerlines," Artemis shrugged. She couldn't make sense of anything that was written in the notes, so she went back to typing on her computer.
Libra nodded, not really understanding, but pretended like she did anyway. "What could the power surges mean," she asked, hoping someone could answer her question.
River walked towards Dara, "What's going on?"
(Let's set the limit at like two weeks.)
"They don't…line up?" Dara squinted at Emil. "I don't like this. You know something i don't. Explain."
Hase finally looked up from his work. "What exactly happened at those times, and why is it suddenly demonic?"
(Ah dang ok)
Erza was walking down the street at least 2 weeks ago, eyeing everything but also looking as normal as she could
(Sorry if Im completely messing this up)
"It's electromagnetic pulses," Dara explained impatiently, "and definitely not demonic. I just don't understand them."
(I figured no one would be time travelers yet until the warrior from the future came around. Then we'd invent time travel to fix whatever future it was?)

Libra rolled her chair back over to her desk and huffed, being comletely ignored. She went back to her own work, knowing the power surges probably meant nothing, and the others were just making a big deal out of it.
Emil looked up at Dara. "We had data of this happening a while ago, but we dismissed it due to a storm that happened later that day. But here," he said, pointing at the numbers, "79 minutes between the first one and the second, 53 minutes between the second and the third… It's awfully similar to the one that happened before. But here's the catch. The times are in reverse to what we had observed the first time."

(LOL)
(Oh ok! Sorry)
Erzza walks into the lab. Her biker boots clacking along the tiled floor
Artemis sighed. She had no idea what anybody was talking about, and she also had nothing to do. There was some paperwork she needed to fill out about her last time traveling experience, but that was unimportant work that didn't really need to be done.
"Interesting," Dara admitted, her eyes widening. "Electromagnetic energy that's not random? I'm…that's…." She grinned. "I'm excited."
