"Yummm. Have any cheetos? Those are my weakness."
cabin in the woods would you like to join
"And orange juice! Orange Dinner!"
Mya laughed. "Lemme guess, you have carrots too?"
"Yep!"
"Sweet." As Addison tossed her a bottle of orange juice, Mya heard something outside. Kind of like a rattle, or maybe it was just wind.
"Did you hear that?"
"Ya… What is that?"
"C'mon, let's check it out." Mya stood up cautiously, her leg still bruised from the fall she took on the hike. She pulled the shades of the window back and tried to look out in the blackness of the night. "I don't see anything. But I definitely heard something."
"It sounded kinda like a…. muffled scream?"
"Do you wanna look outside with me, or stay inside?" Mya closed the blinds to the window tightly.
"I'll come."
(she's still afk i believe. lets just say she's sleeping)
(K)
Mya opened the door slowly and stepped into the bitter cold of the outdoors. Shivering, she called, "Anyone there?"
"I don't see anything."
"Same here." Mya snooped around outside, inspecting the trees and shrubs. "Nothing here."
"Let's go in, I wana' take a shower."
Mya stood outside for just a second longer before responding. "Yeah, let's go inside." Her mind was still wondering, as she could have sworn that the sound that they heard was not natural. But she went back inside the cabin.
"Hey, I'm gonna go to sleep." I say walking out of the shower.
"Okay." Mya layed back down in her bed after changing into her panda pjs, but she couldn't seem to fall asleep. The lights were off and her blanket was covering her, yet Mya's mind kept wandering around. She seemed to lay there for an hour while listening to the gentle, soft snores of her friends.
(->->) "Wake up!"
Mya moaned. She had eventually fallen asleep. "W-what?" Sitting up from her bed, she saw Addison right up in her face. "Addison, what's wrong? It's like, 3 in the morning."
"It was that noise again! This time closer, and there were more of them!"
"Them?" Now Mya was wide awake. She stood up from her bed so quickly that she almost fell back down.
"Ya, there were probably 4 or 5."
"4 or–wait did you see them?" Mya paced back and forth, running her hands through her long caramel hair.
"No, I mean I heard the noise separately , in different areas, 4 or 5 times."
"That's not good. This is not good. What are we gonna do?"
"We don't even know what it is."
"Exactly, so how can we provide a counter-attack?" Mya, who is just terrible in stressful situations, seemed to just fall apart. "I don't want to die. At least not at camp. I still have a life to live! And what about my pet turtle, Flash. Oh no, the last thing I said to Flash was 'why you gotta be so slow?' What kind of person am I?"
