Asura stumbled back, grunting. He regained his balance and glared at the purple haired girl in front of him. "Watch where you're going!" He shouted. "Don't you know who I am?"
Cafe MindShaker
Ro looked over and grinned. There she saw Asura, her evil gay uncle. "Uncle Asura!"
He turned, blinking and spotting Ro inside. He smiled. "Ro!" He said, reaching for the door handle. He stopped suddenly, a foreboding feeling taking over his body. He frowned, wondering if he should really enter the cafe. Something seemed… off.
"Uncle Asura… If you come in you can't-" Ro felt an invisble hand muffle her, and she was unable to finish her sentence.
He couldn't hear her that well, so he squinted, then looked down at his hand. "Well…" He said with a sigh. If he got into a bad situation, he could always get out of it. He was technically a god. "I can't hear you Ro, I'm coming inside."
Lavender blinked and stepped backwards. Her aggression kicking in, she stepped forward agan. "Don't you know who I am? Are you serious? Do you enjoy screaming at random girls on the street or do you just have anger issues?", she snapped.
Before stepping inside, he turned to the girl and scowled at her. "I'm a Demon King, child. Keep your distance and know your place."
"No! No! No, don't come in you can-" Once more, the muffling commenced. She decided to do what the invisble manger wanted and said this. "Of course, come in, Uncle…"
Lavender bit back a sharp retort, aggression abruptly muffled by shock. What?!, she thought, baffled and a bit scared. Nonetheless, she took a deep breath in, her confidence ballooning in time with her lungs, and stepped in. Whoever he is, I'm not letting some Demon King stop me from getting a goddamn coffee.
He turned away from the girl and walked inside. Immediately he felt like he had been punched in the chest, all of the air knocked out of him. He gasped for a few seconds before his lungs finally filled with oxygen, and he fell against a table.
"Uncle Asura!"
"I'm fine," he said, pulling himself up. "What in the name of Abbadon just happened?"
Lavender saw the 'Demon King' fall a split second before she felt a searing hot vice clamp around her chest, squeezing tight until she doubled over from the pain, seeing double as her brain boiled and something near her heart bubbled. She retched and threw up all over the floor of the cafe as she swayed and fell to the ground, struggling to breathe.
"I dunno." Ro panted.
Lavender's lungs spasmed violently, finally expanding suddenly to let in air, which she took greedy gulps of as she got shakily to her feet. "What. Just. Happened.
(love this theme! very diverse!)
Asura backed up. "I think… I need some air," he said, moving toward the door. He pulled the handle, but it wouldn't budge. "What's going on?" He asked, turning to Ro. "What did you do?"
Something in Lavender panicked, and she swatted the 'King's' hand away to yank at the handle as well. Locked. She was trapped.
(bad news, sorry! I'll be gone for the next 13 hours or so, sorry! I'll be back after, promise.)
(It's okay lol, I'll be gone for a while too)
"You… can't… leave." Ro panted.
"What do you mean I can't leave?"
"It's impossible. The hand pulls you back. I couldn't tell you any of it while you were still out, because the hand muffled me. The hand keeps us in here…"
“The HAND?!” Lavender yelled, leaping backwards and pulling a knife out of her pocket. “If someone doesn’t tell me what the f** is going on, I *will use this!”
"You can't." Ro shrugged. "Weapons don't work here. Everything is just another tool to make food. And the hand is what keeps us in here. It's our invisible manager. We never have customers. Just new employees.
"No," Asura said, determined. "I'm getting out of here. I'll even call Lucifer if I have to. I am not getting stuck here." He slammed his fist against the glass door, but nothing happened.
“Then what’s the food being made for?!”, Lavender yelled, desperate.
“Wait—LUCIFER?!”
“We gotta eat! And we don’t want a Dad in here with us.. somebody’s bound to die…”
"Yes, Lucifer's my brother," Asura responded to the girl, slightly annoyed. "He's also Ro's father, which makes me her uncle. Now, excuse me." He dialed the number for Abbadon, who was the demon servant of both Asura and Lucifer.
