Ray found herself telling the Hermes kids which defense stance was best to defend their flag. As some kids from the opposing team came, they came forward as a group and surrounded their enemies. Ray started slashing and hacking at the opponents until they fled. Out of nowhere, a burning red owl appeared on Ray's wrist

Wendi shadow traveled to as close as the flag as she could get. She looked around to see it no where in sight, "Oh come on!" She began to run through the woods towards it, Leave it to me to get the flag. You always do.
"What in the world…?" Ray said, bewildered. Everyone crowded around her to see what all of the fuss was. "What is this??" Ray asked Liam, the Counselor of the Hermes cabin. "The Gods have spoken!" Liam shouted. "Athena has claimed you as her child!" A loud cheering rang around Ray and Liam went off to tell Chiron.

Grayson wasn't anywhere near Ray. He had been sent to actually find the flag. He heard some gasps through the trees but he ignored them.

Wendi heard cheering coming from the border. She had just found the flag too. Wendi shrugged grabbed the flag and shadow traveled to the border. Ending up in the middle of the crowd on her own side of the border with the flag, "Uh hi?"

Ray turned and saw Wendi with the flag in her hand. She ran toward her and judo flipped her (annabeth chase style) and stole the flag from her hand. "Sorry," Ray apologized. "I had to," and took off to put the flag back.
Cato smiled at Ray, though he doubted she could see him through the crowd. The dagger he’d made was resting in her hand. Ray looked slightly overwhelmed, but hey, at least she had a cabin.

"I already won doofus!" Wendi shouted chasing after her, "Now give it back!"
